DeltaXi65 will be helping theScout community by keeping us informed on the major issues with theScout profession. Keep in mind, this title will be rotated monthly to take the stress off the current correspondent and to help us get the best feedback possible.

We'll announce when we're looking for the nextScout Correspondent, but until then, help me welcome DeltaXi65 tohis new rank!

Thanks to Xahn and Q-3PO for selecting me for this position for this month. I hope that I'll be able to accurately represent the concerns the community has to Developers over the last month.

So far, I have developed a list of the five most important issues to scouting that have come up consistently since I've started posting here. In order of importance they are:

1.) The maskscent nerf;

2.) Wilderness Survival (Camping) XP;

3.) Foraging and Fishing providing XP;

4.) The Harvesting bug and general grouping issues;

5.) Developing a means to provide Scout XP for exploring the galaxy.

Please do not hesitate to contact me via email or in game if you have any opinions on these issues, or other issues that you want brought to the attentions of the Developers. My goal is to represent your views, and to act as a conduit of information between us, the players, and the Developers. I'm one of you, so keep that in mind as well.

Congrats, Brisc!!!! It sounds like you've got a good idea of the major problems w/ scouts thus far, and I look forward any updates/information you can present to the scouting community. Good luck and thanks for taking the time to do this difficult and thankless job.

Only thing I can think of that really needs looked at is the Maskscent nerf. It was way over done and still not a peep from any dev on what they are doing to rectify it.

I remember with maskscent before it was nerfed, I hardly ever got it to work. But then again, I have been playing consistently for fun, non-powergaming, and still am not a master-scout. I guess it doesn't pay to enjoy the game, and the devs slam the hammer down on everyone instead of just the exploiters.

Welcome and I'm sure you'll do a fine job.

I like the list of concerns, as I've already posted on a few of those problems myself.

I noticed that you are also a Ranger, so I hope that, between that and the obvious commonalities between Scouts and Rangers, you will also coordinate and communicate with Mineras (the Ranger Coordinator) on several of the issues that trouble both professions.
