It would really nice to have aleast one trap that worked on NPC's...especially when I see all the high level NPC's with weakness to restraint, I believe this would make rangers more worthwhile in combat if say for example adhesive mesh worked on nightsisters who sometimes have weakness only to restraint...the mesh could hit there action bar and restrain the nightsister while the rest of the party defeated her.

I like the idea of Ranger traps on NPC's, but I think any character (player or not) the Dev's are holding for BH if anyone.
Is it just me or are most of the Ranger examples from Dathomir? I know most of mine are.

I also agree that if this happens, it would most likely go to BH.

While GreenMarine has stated that BHs are more likely to get NPC traps than Rangers, I will fight for NPC Ranger traps. It seems a bit stupid to have a trap that can freeze a rancor in place but is completely ineffective against a Meatlump.

Yeah that is pretty stupid....I mean why wouldnt a adhesive mesh hold a npc as well as a creature....if it did go to BH I hope they atleast put it in master scout...that way rangers would benefit also.

I support any idea that improves our "unique weapon".
If we propose that it goes to Master Scout is a way of making friends with BH
hehe

Restraint is a damage type that no longer exists...I am not sure how hard it would be to revamp that damage type to apply to a trap...

restraint damage was something in Beta testing that was taken out of the game.
while the adhesive mesh definately "restrains movement" it causes no damage.

Yeah I know adhesive mesh doesnt cause any damage but it would be nice to able to use it on a SBD in the DWB when they're chasing you so you could escape.

I always assumed a "tangle" pistol did restraint damage.
Ooops! Learn something every day!

Yeah I assumed same thing when I saw the name of it "Tangle Pistol" but it does stun damage....maybe it did restraint in beta or something.
