Gang,

It's time for our Week 2 question for the Devs.

Here's what I have right now:

The /forage ability has been a longtime source of contention with the Scout community. After the Chef revamp, the usefulness of foraged items has dropped to almost nil. Scout foraged items are used a cheap pet food and for fishing, but rarely for anything else. What is the Developer intended function of /forage and is there a plan to upgrade the foragable items to be more in line with the Chef revamp or to make the /forage command more useful?

Let me know what you guys think.

No objections from me.

Would you want to make mention of adding features such as choosing to look for bait, food, medical herbs or such to it (single units of insect meat )?

Sounds good Delta. Any chance you could worka bit about possibly getting survival xp from forage into that question as well?

Klif,

We've been trying that since last July and they keep telling me no.

Not that I take that as their final answer or anything.

Yeah, I know, I just thought we could try to annoy them into changing their minds

Regardless, very good question. Thanks for the hard work.

um possibly add something about the logic of forageing certain "loot" in certain areas like a chance to find a krayt scale or pearl in the graveyard, weapons or components near bases and such?

As an up and coming Scout, I like this question. I hardly ever use the ability. Finding other items would be fun.

Agreed with the posts ^^ about finding "better" items, and items you might actually expect a master of the wilderness finding. Heck, I can go walking through the woods IRL and find more useful items.

As a soon to be ranger and master scout, I was wondering if the Devs have any plans to make camps more important or have more functions.

I like that idea to make /forage find speical loot based on level. However don't forget rangers. They should get a little better loot than a scout.

However the krayt scales near the graveyard or out in the open desert is an excellent idea, or maybe near bases you can find weapons, shards, disk.

And even, (it will piss off the jedi) pearls and /or crystals.

How about mentioning something about how a grubber can break my mask scent at master scout with +25 mask scent clothes on

i lkike it, but i also think you should add on the blasters near the base and scales or something near the graveyard and stuff.
