It's a given to want the speed first. Though some will say Rifleman 4/0/0/0 is more beneficial for the accuracy. Still others will say that they found it best to level up Rifleman 0/4/0/0 for the concealment because they were aggroed less. Me personally, I just finished out the Sniper branch and have 1 more box on the Speed branch before I continue my grind. I have 1 box on the concelament branch right now. Next stop, Counter Sniper 3 and Flushing Shot 2.
Just to ask a dumb question, is it best to throw grenades on the stalkers too? Or just the lair.

while grenades for a non-commando are not worthwhile time wise for the FS village grind they are PERFECT for gaining those CRUCIAL speed boxes in rifles. in one buff session you can use C12 grenades to gain all the combat XP you need to get to rifles 0004 by using them on hurton stalker lairs.
Grenades= Combat XP= Rifleman Special Abilities(speed) line. The other three useweapons XP, so grenades won't be much use for them. Assuming grenades still work as they did when I last checked.

Right, your point. . .?
I understood her point. Newer people may be confused. They don't realize that the XP for the fourth tree (combat xp) is seperate from the XP for the first three trees (rifle xp). So grenades are only useful for the fourth tree. Hopefully I'm not putting words in her mouth, but I think Kez she was just trying to make that a little clearer.
wayne your correct im not very good at writing guilds to do anything LOL.
but you will level faster in the other three trees if you do the grenade thing first to fill up the speed line. for those that dont care to get there fast then just do it the regular way.
yes grenades still give 100% combat XP as if it were a weapon so a huurton stalker will give 5k combat on death. just target the lair stand in the lair and chuck the grenades at the lair. they hit 100% of the time so the Area effect will land on all 6 huurtons attacking you.
when you get the huurtons near dead (when the first one dies) step back and kill each wonded one with your weapon. when those are dead hit the lair to generate 6 more. rinse repeat. should tke a buff session to gain max speed at less than master. this will let you fire a T21 at very good speed and you can bypass grinding with a laser. this speeds things up by many many orders of magnitude.
im still master rifles but im a dark jedi now as well as an imperial pilot on wednesday.
it will be a very very sad day when i hang up my krayt T21 for posterity. but i am enjoying jedi immensly. i will always have a fondness for rifles and CH. my two favorite professions. i just wasnt sure i would like jedi but it has brought a definate excitement to the game that i havent felt since the game came out.
It is just a sad thing that i cant bring this community with me over to the Jedi board. you guys are head and shoulders above that bunch of tards. so dont yell at me tooooo much i will always have a rifle even when i someday lose the cert for it
this is the rifleman forum, so it is ideal to keep the topic on riflemen...but i might whisper that this would be good for ANY elite combat profession to fill up that pesky combat XP line (pistol speed is in the combat XP line too, and for those carbineers looking for FAA2...combat line)
