Depends on what you want to do. If you want to focus on PvE, DEFINITELY go with CH. Without a tank, you are useless as a rifleman, and with a CH tank, you'll go up rifleman much, much, much (etc.) faster.

My recommendation (what I'd have done if I was doing it all over) is to go rifleman/ch until you hit master rifleman, then drop CH and go master doc. Buffing for 2700 points is unbeatable in PvP, and by the time you're a master rifleman, you'll be out of PvMob combat and ready to enter the GCW.

Good question tho.

while carver proves good points i plan on sticking with my master Sharpshooter master CH combo. i also have firstaid 3 and pharm 4 and my doctor Firebug can make me StimEs that are 40 med use so i can heal for over 1k =D and also can buff me like no other doctor i ve seen before( YOU RULE FIREBUG!) anyways nothing is more enjoyable then getting incapped in a battle but watching your pet/pets continue to fight and incap/kill a bunch of imps while your laying on the ground watching lol.

Rifleman/Doctor is counterproductive.

Both drain from the mind pool, which is unhealable. Carbineer/Doctor makes a lot of sense because you could use doctor to heal your action damage that you take from shooting, but Rifleman/Doctor really isn't useful.

Rifleman/CH is probably the best combo for us. We need someone else to tank for us, and pets can do that. You'll have a lot easier time leveling your rifle if you have a Rancor tanking for you.

ill never go as low as being a CH. however, rifleman and doctor isnt counterproductive at all. you rarely, if ever use your med skills in battle, other than stims. on the contrary, your 3 mind stats shoudl already me maxed out, so itll help to use less mind in heals, enhances, etc. i buff my stats to over 3k, then my only weakness is my mind.

Master CH + Master Rifle + Pharm 4 Medic = Fun, Well, as fun as this game gets, which is not all that much fun.

Someone said they were stooping "low" if they did this? Lmao, I guess you dont want to have any fun in this game?

CM's are like nukes. You have them just incase you need them, but as soon as you start using yours the other guys start using theirs and everything goes to hell-PyschoticChipmunk -The First line of the Riflenomican.

Just get a rock Beetle , lvl13 pet , non CH can use.

If you have doc skills, you'll be able to heal it after each battle, I was master medic when I did it.

Me and my trusty beetle have grinded through therifle tree for a while, now I'm master rifleman.

I was Xping on Dantooine, Quenkers and Voritors, when I had flushing 2 I was able to kill 2 quenkers at once with the beetle tanking, Hurrtons works too, just send the beetle on the lair and AE the hell out of em, insane XP, sometimes one of those dog will warp on you and deathblow so its a bit annoying.

I was pulling with conceal shot if the mobs where linked (voritors mostly) then MS1+MS2 , send beetle wait for it to draw agro then chain HS3 till its dead, the beetle should have 20~50% health left, heal it, rinse and repeat.

If you want too keep your doc skills and want a way to XP , its the best solution

yes I must say doctor can do some good buffing so healing isnt necessary while in battle........

if you want to Solo CH is a Must. I hated the CH class before i became one ... and i still hate the class but ill exploit it till its "fixed"

to let you know im a Master Rifleman with 2/2/1/1 in CH With a Giant sand beetle i can solo(with pet) 2 Horned Voritor Lizards (11k HAM) simultaneously (they both on my pet at the same time) with my pet taking less the 50% health damage.

with a grand wrix at 1/1/0/0 i was soloing 9k HAM mobs (probably could of gone higher)

Unfortunately this game almost requires you to have some kind of CH skill.

my opinion

well you can't say SoE is just in it for the money, because if they were they would open up classic servers and double thier income.

Right now I am almost finished mastering rifle. I have pretty good CH skills that helped me so much with leveling. Using bile quenkers or mountain squills on dantooine is the best. I can get at least 3k xp if not 4k per kill depending on what you are fighting. But I do plan on dropping it after I master rifle. I am most likely going to go master CM. Seems like a very good combo to me.
