hey all.since we are on this subject. (yes i read the fact), but i need some geniune feeback from you veterans. I am a a low level rifleman (until I retire) then i plan to master to PVP etc.... I put together this belt thus far.....

+12 rifle speed

+25 block

+23 ranged defense

+ 1 open socket

---

im looking to add a huge AA . need help determining what the best AA to fill the open socket (once I locate one)?

1. rifle accuracy while moving

2. rifle accuracy

3. melee defense

4. other?

rifle acc while moving helps alot, from what ive found

especially for PvP where you're kiting, trying to keep at ideal range

I think rifle accuracy is more important...since it affects all accuracy when holding a rifle.

If you get other AA's, just put them in an armor piece or a bandolier.

as far as your 'speed slice' reference. yes, i have been following that 'unsaid' school of thought for quite some time. it is easy to spot (being a crafter) and only being able to place minute skillpoints into combat. ths DPS is easily spotable between the two types of slices.

tapes + great speed slice weapons are definetly 'my piece of cherry pie'...makes my life much easier at my current level. 2/0/0/1 rifleman. but i have to say, can't wait to master rifle.

2. for the win! Rifle accuracy will improve your aim, whether you're moving or not. Rifle acc while moving only helps when you're moving, which you may not always be doing!Saving the acc while moving for a ubese shirt er something, that belt is sweet!

I would think (2) would be the better choice. As I understand it, you have a base "to hit" and then a modifier for when you are moving. The "rifle accuracy" tape would to improve both circumstances, but the "while moving" would only limit the amount subtracted while moving.

Say you have a base "to hit" of 100, and a moving modifier of -50:

No tapes:
Base: 100
Moving 50

+10 accuracy tape:
Base: 110
Moving: 60

+10 while moving tape:
Base: 100
Moving: 60

That's my interpretation of it. I could be wrong.

picked up on one point that may be slightly off topic. you want to put an AA in a belt, i assume that means a pre-nerf no condition mabari armorweave belt. it's been inferred that with the revamp, no condition/zero condition items won't be equippable anymore. keep that in mind if you plan on buying an acc tape.

on topic, i would choose #2 as Waste is the shiznat.

I was trying to find an old dev tracker post (lost my links :smileysad. Essentially what was explained was that accuracy effects your accuracy in all states, standing, kneeling, prone, or running. Accuracy while moving reduces the accuracy penalty you take while moving.

Anyways, I too would definitely say that popping a nice accuracy tape in that belt should be your highest priority, over accuracy while moving.

Oh, and then, I'd sell the belt if you're going into PVPing as you mentioned as a belt in PVP = 1st target because they'll go down faster because they aren't wearing a PSG. Not joking, many groups see a belt and immediately focus on "the easy target" as they will undoubtedly have much less by way of defenses. Bandoliers, ubese shirts, and AA attachments in your armor for PVP in my opinion. Belts are for PVE when you don't need every advantage...and that belt will draw a very large price tag that will support buying a lot of tapes that can be disposable in your armor for a good while to come.
