I know its hard to level up a rifleman, I know you have problems in PvP as a novice Rifleman. There is not much I or anyone else can do about it. You want to know why novice rifleman suck? Becuase of DPS, our speed is horrible at novice rifleman.


Now you need to ask yoruself what you think you would do.


Increase Damage to meet Novice Pistoleers DPS? Now You need to look at Master Rifleman, increasing our damage to meet novice pistoleers DPS, means at master my DPS will be 20 times better then a Master Pistoleers DPS.


You want knockdown? Thats fine, but you know what that doesnt help us much anymore, and a class with knockdown and dizzy in the same spec is very overpowered. (Fire KD)


You want to remove suppression fires timer? Now lets look at this for a second, why was this put in. It was put in to prevent the soloing of high level mobs/NPCs. Suppression fire in general is the same as KD, except that you get up alot faster. Spamming suppresion fire made things alot easier, they dont want soloing to be easy.


Now lets look at alternatives Novie Rifleman have.


You have the spray stick, not that rare of a resource, very fast and with a power up ok damage.


You can also get a DLT20a, with very low speed, sliced and powered up.


You can also get a massive + to rifle speed from a dark jedi master.



I have seenhundreds of people complain about novice rifleman sucking, I have still yet to see onesuggestion to fixing novice rifleman,besides changing conceal shot to a pre-attack such as AIM. This would help a whole lot making it so we target one pull the entire time, but this did not make it in, becuase alot of people wanted some different things.


Now you also have to remember, I can only submit so much..I have 6 things I can submit once a month. Probably not even a month, I have to wait till they answer our report, before I can send in another one. Theres not much I can do, I dont talk with them everyday, I dont even talk to them. They have yet to fill the position that talks to the correspondants. Be patient, when they come, things will improve, communication will improve.

Also my opinion doesnt go into the report, majority rules here. what I post is only my opinion, in order to attempt to change your mind, but if the majority still want it, it goes in.

Taking away or reducing the 2.5 penalty for holding a rifle is a start.


We are the only class that gets this imbalance yet we dont get to keep anything. Supression, damage, accuracy all nerfed AND STILL we get the penalty.

Exactly... The ONLY reason the extra melee damage would be almost acceptable is if we could actually get longer range than a pistol. At least double range.


Just a note. Spraystick is a total JOKE. I'd never use that crap.

I (as a novice rifleman) would like to have a larger range of attack so I can shoot a BH and not get owned by his pistol...from 63 meters away. And if that doesnt work, then bring back the old T 21's, cause the pre nerf thatI have (isn't a great one just a decent pre nerf) is better than the current in my opinion but they are rare enough so I hardly ever use it in fear of wasting out the condition. But since I'm a low lvl novice (1/0/0/1) I can't really talk since I havent gotten the good skills yet, but we are ok in PvP and PvE just need to find animals that don't catch up with us so fast.

Well, I did notice last night during PvP I was missing my suppresions shot 50% of the time while I was running. I also noticed when my Suppresion shot did hit it was only working 50% of the time. It was my first night out PvP so I wasnt sure if it was the patch or that Player characters are harder to hit>? I will soon know tonight when I go for some Mobs on Endor. I was able to easily solo them with my Laser Rifle. If they did really nerf the running/shooting of the rifleman then they just ruined the "SOLO" aspect of the game for the Rifleman. In a group you dont have to run. You go prone while others run in and tank for the most part. It is all about the Solo. Why the heck would you do this to the Solo players? Since when where HORSEMEN or Snipers not able to Hit targets while Mobile? This is not a good thing at all. I have a Real life rifle and a handgun. If I was running with my rifle from a ELEPHANT it would be just as accurate as the hand gun would be. What I am saying is that if the Nerfed the RIfleman for mobile shooting it should have been done TO ALL RANGED WEAPONS!

marksman professions...The problem is we riflemen are the most likely to


kite...running away from the oncoming target because we are pretty much


worthless point blank...

I want the T21 unnerfed.

The current T21's are garbage, and the theoretical max of a T21 being just 397 is garbage... the max is never reached so the best T21's we'll ever see with be in the mid 300's (then add slicing).

I want holo to admit he screwed up. Why is it that 3k damage horrifies him when the new generation of LLCs can do twice that... faster, with lower range penalties, and for lower ham costs? Did I mention they also dont suffer from the x2.5 damage modifier?

I don't really have a big gripe with uber weapons being out there, but at the least, I feel that we should be returned our rightful T21s with the power they had and should still have.

I don't care about the argument that the LLC is AR1 while the T21 is AR3 because all PvP (other than ATSTs & certain pets) is AR0/1 while 99% of the mobs out there are AR0/1.

Aldeon can you explain to me why...


At 4/4/2/3 i'm doing 300-400 damage HS3's every 4 seconds and missing fully 50% of the time while standing still at 60 meters?


Can you explain to me why the only way I can get 90+% accuracy is to be prone, aiming, and hitting at ideal range (60-64 meters)?


Can you explain to me why BH's with the BH pistol line (1/3rd the weapon xp I have and 1/5 the combat xp I have) manage to do 200-300 dmg eyeshot's at 100% accuracy with one shot per second while burst running at 64 meters?


Can you explain to me why LLC cannon is capable of doing 10k damage and lightning cone is capable of doing that to a GROUP of pople meanwhile SOE tells us "big numbers make us nervous" and you agree?

Ty for advising me - in that case I am not as pissed as B4. I would hate to see Rifleman get hit and not other proffesions.


Like I said, I will know for sure tonight when I get off work and go to my usual grind spot just how bad it is.

Aldeon can't control what the devs do so don't bitch to him that we got nerfed for out damage and commandoes were made divine. As for why you arent hitting...I have no **edit**ing clue. I hit kiting a bantha at 30 meters with my (post nerf) T 21 pretty often. And I"m 1/0/0/1 soo...yah

After doing a bit of thinking....


1.) How can a skill like Knockdown or Suppresion have a failure rate when other skills like Overchargeshot or Headshot do not? If you Hit with Overcharge shot you just flat out hit and it does what it does... why not the same with KD or Suppress?If you fail shouldnt You just miss? Or are they a more unique skill with uniqe attributes?

Head Shot 3 has a 3.0 damage modifier thats why, it was dropped, becuase of doing massive damage to an unhealable pool.


Number 2, are you moving? Is your target moving? That would make you miss alot.


Show me logs.


Thats at 16 meters, every 15 seconds, when the paly is konced down.
