Thread: I cant beat TKA

im sorry this isnt working. I honestly do not know why they made them so strong.


*prepares to be flamed by the 50% of riflemen who dabble in TKA because they know im right*


what was the logic behind the 20 meter lunge thing for brawlers? It doesnt even have to be the master brawler one that knocks you down, the novice brawler one still forces you to kneeling and then the TKA catches up and I'm **edit**ed.


I literarly waste away my mind trying to hit them, but im stopped by their stacked defences. Armour or buffs do not matter once they posture-down me, because thats followed up by a KD/dizzy and its over, im on the floor and they're smashing me for 600 raw damage. TKAs say that I should "keep my distance" but they are BSing, they know that all PvP takes place in cities at close quarters, with short line of sight paths and if you are being chased its easy for them to catch up because you have to take corners and they get closer each time. And if its a rat-fu.ck battle you can forget about even that, you'll be shooting someone else and suddenly the clone menu pops up.


And guess what, they are giving melee a big boost vs ranged weapons next patch. As if TKA didnt own enough. When TKA are able to hit me at 1/3 of my maximum range FOR MY RIFLE... something is screwy



not to mention that they have by far the easiest time in pvp, doing 2000 damage per hit, having tons of bonouses vs melee attackers (read: 90% of the mobs) soloing the tusken fort, or what i saw today at the rancor valley - a TKA soloing 3 rancors at a time with a pile of dead rancors around him.

i agree the lunge is a bit extreme, but they needed to give tka something to help against the kiters. youre bad luck

You'll find any Melee'er pretty tough, especially the ones with Knockdown because Rifleman don't have any Knockdown Protection. I don't dabble in TK, it's my secondary profession for this very reason. I always planned to pick up a melee professions to complement my Ranged abilites.


How does a Rifleman beat a TK. Well if the TK is well prepared ( Buffed / Mind buffed / Powerboosted and wearing armor ) it's not impossible 1v1 but it isvery hard as just a Rifleman, unless you have a Very High Damage Jawa Ion Rifle. But then who isn't tough with all the Buffs and Armor.


The thing is though that most Master TK wont wear armor because of the Ham costs involved, especially mind drain.. You will find most will either be stat buffed or Powerboosted when going into battle without armor. TK's telling you to keep your distance is pretty much the only way you are going to win, the 20m lunge was put in place so that Melee would have some chance of stopping people Kiting them forever. Its a balancing factor.


Okay so.. if their Defence is high, FlushingShot1/2 give the Stun state which lowers defence making them easier to hit.. so Open with that if you like. Then you can do a couple of things.. Try to get a knockdown on them ( they have minimal KD protection ) using Flurryshot ( Dizzy )and Suppression fire ( Posture Down )- Or - Use Head shots until they go down. At all times you will have to Kite them.. there is no other option Harpoon.


I still wouldn't recommend doing this till you are a Master Rifleman though.. Or get a very fast rifle..

Bioengineer thakitillo, +100 defense vs knockdown for 10 minutes, gg nextmap.

Of course if you insist on trying to fight unbuffed and unarmored you'll get killed by anyone, but with buffs and decent armor you can easily stand up and kill them before they kill you with what little damage gets through.

Thatkillo won't stop a dizzy then posture change attack, which will have the same effect.

as a master tka/master fencer I still get beat often enough by riflemen. I've been having a hell of a time lately. It's always down to the distance - if the range stays close quarters, I'll win (mostly). If its wide open (say theed plaza in front of starport) chances are Im a dead man. The minddamage is hellish. Without armor and/or buffs I could be down in 2 shots. Even with armor, well the ion rifle goes straight through it to my head (no good stun resist armor on chimera atm). I in the meanwhile often need to blast through a health bar of 3000+ (buffage) and 80% kinetic resist armor. (unless I get out my stun baton with its high mind cost, doh). Anyway, it's possible for both sides to win a fair amount of times. There are just so many factors going into this.

Umm harpoon the lunge is considered a knockdown and is on the same 30 second timer as all other knockdowns, it's impossible to be lunged and thenimmediatley KD/dizzied right after..................

You were told numerous times on a previous thread of yours how to mitigate mind drain to nothing already, you just need the right combo of any the following food, drink, musician buffs.

This wont be a problem much longer nect patch is limiting stacking defenses

Cities aren't really that enclosed it's not too difficult to keep distance

They have to take the exact same corners if they are chasing you, the only way they could be catching up is if their taking the corners better then you.

Umm a rifles range is over 60m's and the max distance a TKA can hit you from is 10m thats 1/6 of your max range(unless they use lung on you but thats only good every 30 seconds)

Any combat class can do that with good buffs/food/drink and armor.Try it yourself get some decent ubese and buffed to heck and go do it, it wont be a problem.

Dizzy/posture down doesn't seem to make you fall unless you try to stand up from kneeling.

mate im TKM an rifle an always got kited by rifle men in pvp hit there mind an stay your 60m distance if you get into our range you will die o and we cant do 2000 dam in pvp so stop crying

ive never really had a problem with killing them even if they get up close with a t21 u do 2k + dmg most wont withstand the first 2 shots


tka almost is all kd/dizzy reliant

sorry forgot to mention TKM biggest weakness is dizzy we have +5 defence in it if i got hit in dizzy an get lunged are kd i cant get up tkm are not all powerful you will get some tkm that are useing other defencive prof like fencer an pistol then your in trouble ,


take your time to learn your profession use stun rifle against comp armour keep your distance we cant and dont wear armour because it kills us faster then you do with our specials use mind food an moun gold and your mind wont lose anything But most of all learn your proffession as rifle man is probably the best PVP profession at the monent but need to be master rifle ot kite peeps
