Thread: 1236 Damage Rifle or 1185 Damage Rifle to use?

The first One have higher min Damage and come with +21 Accuracy, 14.95% wound chance. Of cos higher DPS too.
As for the 1236 Damage only benefit i get will be High Damage output. So which one would you guys use? I'm having trouble from chosing one , i have +25 Rifle Speed , +25 Rifle Accuray though. will the Accuracy on Rifle help me any?

Ok as you can see, both applied with the same 22% with -3% speed Pups, but the 1185 added more damage compare to the 1236. and the different in damage after Pups is only 16. Is that a bug or intended?

As for Speed i get 810 DPS for the lower damage Rifle and only 750+ DPS for the Higher Damage. So i'm confuse now ... not sure which one to use. Anyone out there can help me?

a lot of people will say dps is all that matters.
if you are pvping, the higher max damage is more important, second only to SAC. I think low SAC is the single most important thing right now. It dones't matter one whit what damage it does if you cannot fire.
that said, I would go with higher damage and lower speed. lower speed also means fewer shots and less action drain, while still packing a punch.
I have a 980 max 301 dps adv laser rifle. I was soloing lvl 86 krayts.

if you go with another rifleman to do something that 1236 will let you guys incap people faster using snipershot

well the 1185 has a 500 something min, where as the 1236 one has a 300 min, but the maxes on them are only about 50 damage apart, and plus you are slightly faster with the 1185 one. Thats just my opinion the 1185 is the one i'd use. DPS dosn't matter about anything to boot don't worry about it, just look at speed, min-max, and special cost.

Same here just because, if I got it right, higher accuracy doesn't just mean better chances "to hit" but also a damage bonus when compared to defense (when accuracy > defense).

i would go with the one which has the Anti decay kit on it. otherwise its a waste

I would go with the high dmg one. As it has higher max dmg it will make more dmg on enemys. (SAC is only 1 higher) The Speed and dps doesnt do anything to the rifle or you, except making you drain your Action pool much quicker.

So i assume the lower damage Riflewill be the best choice then.
