Thread: If this is true you rifleman have no room to complain
I had a small argument with a rifleman on the VN boards, http://vnboards.ign.com/message.asp?topic=55303271&replies=19 , If you go to the bottom and look through the screen shots there is a 5.9 spd rifle being fired once per second. Also if what he says is true not matter what the speed of the rifle a master rifleman will be firing it once per second.
With a t-21 rifle I would be willing to bet you can get 4k hits pretty easy. So in theory you could take down a 12k health mob in 3-4 shots ammounting to 3-4 seconds.
If that is true master rifleman will be by far the best PvE class. I'm sorry but with that your far superior to pistoleers PvE so stop complaining.

The difference is that pistol does not seem to work that way. So far testing shows that every +10 to speed reduces a pistols speed by a measly .1. That means as a Master Pistoleer the slowest pistol I can use and still shoot at 1 shot per second is 1.7. Pistol is supposed to have a big speed advantage over rifle but if this is true it has a speed dissadvantage.
Just because your master does not change the advantage you have, I am a maxed character nad I still fight just as much, except now I PvP or kill NPCs for faction.

Please read the post before responding, I'm not wrong about anything, I was taking information given to me by a rifleman.
If he is wrong then explain to me how the speed mods work. He explained it as being a %, so even at +90 it would be 90% so a rifle of 10.0 speed would still fire at 1.0. If its not then how does it work?

See, here is the fundamental foolishness of your argument. The % speed reduction from the skill lines are not the sole factor affecting weapon speed. When attack styles are used, a delay modifier is employed. Meaning that a T21 with Strafe Shot 2 or Mind Shot 3 is firing at around a 3 second delay. At the fastest. I AM a Master Rifleman and this is how it works for me -- do you think YOU know better based solely on your own uneducated banter?

More nonsense. Read the original post. He is not asking if a given opinion is true, he is stating HIS opinion and then claiming thatIF IT is true, then we have no reason to complain. Which is very different from presenting someone else's opinion and asking for thoughts on his veracity. He is not a spectator -- he came with a dubious claim, merely one he conceded had some chance of being incorrect.

Dude, pistoleers and carbiners can get speed from BH trees too, and they are ALOT ALOT faster than Rifles. Its a fact.
And yes, they have to nerf pistols accuracy really really soon.
Heh man those guys therehave completly no idea about the game.
Headshot with laser rifle every one sec? Dude Laser rifle needs 200 mind for HS3 at least... heh.
