I swear, the rifleman boards are packed full of whiners. For every one of you who's got something to say, there's fifty more who just whine and moan about how hard it is to be a rifleman. Boo hoo.

What sniper doesn't carry a sidearm? Learn a touch of pistol or carbine for the up-close encounters instead of whining about a massive close-range damage multiplier. It's worked just fine for me.

And for every whine, there are fifty like you that are whining about the whiners. Don't like it, don't read it or just go away, ok? Thanks.

You know... this Board is TAME by comparison to the Pistoleer board. I have been reading it, and all they whine about are Nerf the BH!, or Why cant we use the Scatter Pistol, or some such junk. We talk about legitimate questions, and if you knew anything about it you would contribute your part instead of acting childish.

Your post is Demeaning for both Rifleman and yourself. You only make yourself sound like a Noob by making a post like this.

Also, using a sidearm for us is like beginning a new battle, because we hit mind and pistol hit health....so thats not gonna cut it.

And whats the point of commando being broken? Is there a rule where they say only one class is broken? We are broken too you know. Commando is 100% broken, we are 75% broken, but broken nonetheless.........

Rifleman shouldn't have to use pistols!! Thats the whole idea, to be a sniper! Even with that in mind, I don't know any rifleman that arn't somewhat skilled in pistol, just for backup. But if we have to use our pistols in every PvP combat situation, then what is the point in being a rifleman? We might as well start over and become pistoleers if thats the case!

By the developers own definition, no player should feel that the only way to compete is to get Skill X or Profession Y.

If you're telling us that riflemen must also be pistoleers, then you agree that there is imbalance that needs to be fixed.

So now that you agree with us, let's get back to discussing how to fix the problem.

i believe you are right except that rifleman can fight at close range. the spraystick does +15 accuracy at pointbalnk range, and it is better than almost any pistol. mine has 13-130 dam with 1.6 attack spd, so, i say a good rifleman can do ok up close.

Ahhh... the spraystick... had a pistoler complain to me that the spraystick should be considered a pistole rather than a rifle... but that is another story.

I prefer to think of my spraystick as a sawed-off shotgun for when they get close.... and that's how I use it too...

I agree. I would say the majority of the posters here are not master rifleman yet or do not have adequate experience with the class to show an unbiased perspective. (ie, people calling for damage increase on rifles.. ) Give it awhile, as the player base ages hopefully this board will too.

ViasSWG, idiot, I've been a master rifleman 3 times and I've been one in release for over 3 weeks. I can tell you straight up right now that rifleman are so hosed they need to completely retool combat or the profession itself toget any balance. And with 2 out of 50 people playing a rifleman, good luck on ever seeing them waste the man hours on you. They will just spend their time placating the BH/psitoleer 12 year old lamers as much as possible.

I would carry a side arm, if they did the same damage, but you see I do mind damage, and a pistol does health. Of course i could go BH, but Im not quite sure I can go master rifleman, and get the pistol BH line without sacrifcing things I feel are neccessary for me to survive in PvP.

By the way, I gave this 5 stars!!! Becuase of how funny it was. You came here to tell us how to play a class when in your post you basically told me you have no idea how to play a rifleman.

Im sure its a good idea when I havea mob at half mind, to start using my pistol and do health damage when it gets up close.

Its ok, you may know alot about pistol, but please dont come here, and tell us how to play a class when you have no idea yourself.
