The BH/Pistoleer debate usually gets started by another BH troll going to the pistoleer boards, or by new pistoleers who don't understand it.

Now, you can go sling a heap of trash-talk my way, or you can answer the question: why DON'T riflemen go in with a sidearm? It works. So there's a few issues with rifleman - I'll admit that. (Particularly, a more real and significant form of stealth that goes as far as pvp would be good. They should also have a range of maybe 75, I think.)

But anybody complaining that they can't fight with a rifle up close has lost their minds - you're not supposed to be able to. Unless you wanna pick up some completely out-of-character combat style like Krav Maga and learn how to swing that rifle as a weapon. (Actually, that'd be kind of cool, but that's beside the point.) There's simple solutions to a fair amount of Rifleman issues, and it doesn't even take that much ingenuity to figure out what they are.

Until Rifleman is legitimately BROKEN like Commando, people should get a sense of perspective.

Umm no one is saying that they want to do well up close. They are saying that it isn't fair that a pistol does well up close AND at max range.

You really have not been reading any of the threads have you...

We dont care that we dont hit up close. We dont understand how a Pistoleer can be accurate at close range (where he is supposed to be accurate) AND at long range (where he should not be accurate).

I personally dont let the creature get close enough to me to warrant using a sidearm. That just stupid. Thats why we have Warning Shot. To WARN the creature away to a safe distance again. There is no need for a sidearm.

If you need a sidearm, fine... use a sidearm. I dont need one. I dont think any rifleman worth his gun would say he has to resort to a sidearm. If you need one, then you are probobly doing something wrong, and need to revise the way that you are dealing with combat in general.

Go read the forums and then come back to me whining.

Go away troll. I see VERY little whining on this forum. Almost everything i see is productive critisism with real thoughts and real answers. So far the only un-productive thread ive seen a while is... guess what? YOURS.

Dont give me BS on why riflemen dont carry sidearms. Answer this: How come "side-arms" in this game have the same long range accuracy as rifles with much higher dps AND better specials.

Dont call us whiners when your tree is over-powerful and 75% of our tree is either broken or useless. Thats a quick way of making yourself look ignorant. Ooops, too late.

Guys I finally finished my template , Rifleman / BH ( well , Eye Shot anyway ) and let me tell you it is beyond powerful . For long fights , a stack of DOTs a Headshot III and then Eye Shot all the way home . For short fights 3 Headshot III's and Eye Shots all the way . MOBs that used to take me a minute to kill with downtime for healing now take 20 seconds with zero damage to my beautiful body .

So I would say a side arm for Warning Shot or Eye Shot and thas about it . Or you could have a little contest for yourself . Get the Mind Pool down to like a sliver , then switch to a side arm and see what HAM bars gets emptied first . Full health or sliver Mind .

I'm getting some good laughs out of this thread . Gotta say the initial poster got roasted pretty hard and got a lick of fire from our correspondent hehe . Good stuff.

So where do you think MOST of your firepower comes from? Headshot ro EyeSHot? I'd be willing ot bet its the latter.
