Thread: TC CHANGES Incase you missed it.

I got master shapshooter without firing a single conceal shot. I consent that its VERY helpful when trying to get loot on things (soloing kyrats and giant peko peko and such) but for regualr PvE and especially PvP I found it very useless. I don't have CH just as a side note cause I'm sure someone will say: You dont need concceal shot you ahve big pets! Anyway this isn't meant as a flame but just my views on conceal shot.

Not including the combat changes but, these below are related to some of the PMS and Rifleman concerns.


Removed old rifle crawl skill mods (unused)


Increased rifle accuracy


Increased rifle Aim Accuracy


Increased melee defense


Increased ranged defense


Increased block mods


Increased ranged defense mods


All new HAM cost system for combat - Special moves take from the max value, but regenerate much, much faster. The end result is that HAM spent on special moves regenerates MUCH faster than damage, so it should make combat more dynamic.


Added "Sniper Support Skill" for Rifleman. Riflemen shooting creatures and NPCs at greater than 50m have a much better chance of drawing a single social creature from a crowd (versus the entire group of angry mobiles immediately charging at the rifleman).


Combat medic skill mods can no longer increase the range of medicines beyond 64m.

I think TH said they removed the HAM system so they could test it more internally. Also, you didn't mention that they're also planning on removing ConcealShot as you mentioned in another thread.

Well the conceal shot removal is linked to the drawing ability so I think everyone is a little hazy on specifics there. Get in touch with TH and beg him to clear this up...CS just got fixed after all

Conceal shot still exists on test... also, this post is outdated, the new HAM system has been removed until the January publish.. until then players can stillhurt themselves by doing specials =p

Well the gun is heavy to run with. I"m surprised the costs are so low I mean if it was irl I"d of dropped that thing on my foot while running and that would be a hell of a lot more cost to my health then I'd like

Wow shows ya how much our Correspondent is paying attention to rifleman issues doesn't it. Bet 500 creds if you asked him what changes were being made to a Jedi he could answer it and be 100% correct. Do I think he is doing a bad job.....no I just don't think he is doing his job at all good or bad.

You're correct on the combat being pushed. Forgot to add it, I posted this due the amount of PMs regarding the changes on the TC. Sure it's outdated but, not everyone is reading the Patch Notes as we would assume.


From what I have been told (still waiting on an official response from Keldarin) concelshot will be no more but, I don'tlike to make any comments without the facts. But with all the stuff on the table, so much will be changing soon.

can you find out why after it being broken so long and was finally fixed and useful they are going to replace it with a non-useful shot????!??!?!?!!?????

I'll be fighting to keep it you can count on that. Unless they have a really could addition to replace it. At this point we must wait for an official response.I was told it was getting removed from another Dev but, he doesn't handle Rifleman issues.

Maybe the current conceal shot has been changed on test? Perhaps someone with a high enough test rifleman can go check it out.. easy enough, just fire a conceal shot at a mob and see what happens. Maybe it's already been changed to a single pull ability (since they did mention something about us being able to potentially single pull), but the name hasn't been changed.

I'd test it myself but, they have not gave me access to the Correspondent Terminal. I'm still in the air as TH is very busy with the Top Five Responses.

What about Suprise Shot, it does the same thing as conceal shot just that you have to be in cover, will it be removed also?
