Thread: TC CHANGES Incase you missed it.
lol... from what I have seen of the Correspondant program... no
How many good, dedicated correspondants have quit because of lack of Dev communication with them?
These are all from the last patch that went live aren't they? I certainly don't have rifle crawl mods anymore. They didn't increase our defensive and accuracy mods even more did they? or did they? The patch note system is as bad as the correspondent system apparently.

Not including the combat changes but, these below are related to some of the PMS and Rifleman concerns.
Removed old rifle crawl skill mods (unused)
Increased rifle accuracy
Increased rifle Aim Accuracy
Increased melee defense
Increased ranged defense
Increased block mods
Increased ranged defense mods
and I meant that as a jab at the system, not at klaw, who I think it doing fine so far.
Anyway, I know the HAM system is not in for the next patch, but what about that mitigation thing? is that still in?
What about Suprise Shot, it does the same thing as conceal shot just that you have to be in cover, will it be removed also?
- it does not do the same thing as concealshot nor do you have to be in cover.
and why the hell doesn't klaw have access to the correspondant terminals on test?? w t f is going on?
I agree with you Chewon. When I leveled rifleman, I also did not use conceal shot. I use it only occasionally now that it has been fixed.
i don't see why anyone would not use it... it's an incredibly useful tool. not just for killing with no risk.. but for taking out portions of a group of mobs... buttering a group of mobs up before hitting them with the big shots...
master rifleman is strong but not strong enough to take on some of the more powerful mobs in the game. do you just avoid them? rely on pets or groups? walking around them would really chap my ass.
hypothetical situation... say you run on a nightsister elder and3 rangers. (i can't remember if sentinals or stalkers are harder so lets use rangers) what do you do?
I'm a critter handler who has been doing the same type of thing on dathomir the last couple of days(wanted to grind out those last couple of boxes before the big patch) I'm not sure if I can kill twice as many, If I'm solo, I'll bleed and headshot the spider, which I can only do one spider at a time without buffs/food/spice. So I probably don't do much better than you including downtime healing pets.
What I've found that works incredibly well though is to group with a commando. Usually I'll group with a commando and a BH. We whip through stuff like there's no tomorrow. I can then just use flushing 2 and we'll kill spiders real fast and my pets hardly get a scratch. Now it's less exp, but I usually still get between 2-3.5k rifle xp with no downtime.
On a side note, yesterday my BH friend and I managed to find a very strange nocious(I love how they misspell noxious) kamurith lair. For some reason the lair decided to keep spawning mobs. There was 10+ kamuriths there. With both of us using area attacks, I got over 5k combat xp in 30 seconds. It was incredible. Too bad I don't need rifle xp anymore since I got over 50k of that.
And I've never used conceal shot since I tried it out while I was a 0/1/0/0 rifleman, but then again, I'm one of those uber CH's.![]()

Surpriseshot and Concealshot indeed work differently (i.e., Supriseshot does not prevent the target from aggroing on you whereas Concealshot will as long as you are not detected by other means). However, you are only partially correct about not having to be in cover. It is true that after the 'fix' to the shot, people have been able to fire the shot even when they were not in cover, butif you read the description of the shot, it says it is a sneak attack that does extra damage and that itmust be fired from cover. Therefore, the shot is either bugged because it is letting you shoot it from a non-covered state,or it is letting you shoot it, but it just does not do as much damage as it would if you were under cover. If it is the former, they may fix it in a coming patch or publish. Either way, it would be interesting to test if it is indeed doing the same amount of damage both in cover and out.
BTW, Concealshot and Supriseshot are linked only in that they are the only two shots that can be fired from a covered state without breaking cover. While the description of Supriseshot states that it must be used under cover, Concealshot carries no such restriction. It works the same whether in cover or not, and it is supposed to work that way.
I thought I saw somewhere that Conceal Shot was getting a chance to detect added on - so that even if you hit every time the mob has a chance to detect you.
I can't seem to find the post though
Did anyone else see this? Was it already discussed and removed?
I am killing Gaping Spider Hunters on Dathomir with Conceal Shot. It takes me FIVE MINUTES per kill. That's 12 MOBs an hour.
Can someone get the Devs to explain how 12 MOBs an hour is overpowered? Especially when Critter Handlers can kill probably twice that many in the same time frame?
