get more than novice medic
get master commando, land all 4 dots on them then play dead.

nah, just take the pill..
my (fs grind) template:
4/3/0/0 tka
4/0/0/0 commando
novice med
master rifle
just get yourself some 85%+ kinetic, and you can tank a krayt with ease. just walk over to it, mind bleeds, warcry, intims, and spam hs3. they usually go down in +- 6 mins (giants).
one rule: always keep an intim on it.

Soloing krayts is easy. To kill the giant lizard you must have at least novice medic 0040 is better. 85% kinetic or better armor, a 500+ T21 and DXR6-b, and always at least novice brawler. Lay on the mind bleeds and then hit it with an intimidate until one sticks. Then just spam HS3 or SS2 if someone is trying to kill steal. Rinse and repeat the process until giant lizard has been killed. But the easiest and cheapest way to solo a krayt is getting master commando and feign death, lay on the dots and then play dead. flamethrower dots tick for like 3-4k sometimes.

I am a TKA 3444/Commando 0040/Master Rifleman. This can also be done quite well with Master Commando/Master Rifleman but you will be in trouble if the Krayt ever catches you.
Soloing Krayts is silly. Find yourself a trusted tank, one with good defenses and some medic skills. Make sure you both have lots of 80% kinetic armour. If your friend is a swordsman, great... if not, no worries. My usual plan is to cycle all my Flame Thrower specials with 2-3 Flame Thrower then switch to my T-21 (700+ damage with pup) and spam the hell out of Strafe 2 while my buddy tanks. If he ever gets in trouble (low mind especially) I switch to TKA and tank for him while he recovers. While tanking with TKA I lay off specials but keep the dragon intimidated and stunned if I can. I use War Cry to delay it so I can switch to my flamer and land a DoT while it is delayed, then switch back to TKA to keep my Toughness up until someone can tank again so I can switch back to the T-21.
It is quite simple. There are ways to solo Krayts but I recommend finding a tank.

why would you want to solo a krayt? It is alot more fun with a friend. If you say so you get all the loot go play kotor or something singleplayer.

I havent heard it mentioned yet so I'm wondering: is a krayted sg-82is worth getting? Some of the krayts have low resistance to cold, so it just seems logical to get a high damage sg82.

NOPE they have no ap, therefore thye do almost no damage against heavy armor, you might get away with it on a juvie, but I would use an acid rifle on them. This may change with the CU however, so If you can pick up one cheap, who knows?

I dont get why most people go tk/.. for tanking. once you understand the game, you realise that the only thing that makes them tank a bit better then with a rifle on is the +to hit mod the krayt has when attacking you. it will miss less.
But since high end mobs (DWB-CC-NSE-..) miss very rarely anyway, there is no use for this.
ps: melee toughness ONLY works when you are not wearing armor on the respective body part (chest/..)

Is that why a jedi does like 10 damage to a fully armored TKM on synth, and then turns around and 3 hit kills me?
