No you wont, all you have to do is make sure you keep it intimidated and heal every so often. Rifles can tank, trust me.

Soloing Krayts is silly. Find yourself a trusted tank, one with good defenses and some medic skills. Make sure you both have lots of 80% kinetic armour. If your friend is a swordsman, great... if not, no worries. My usual plan is to cycle all my Flame Thrower specials with 2-3 Flame Thrower then switch to my T-21 (700+ damage with pup) and spam the hell out of Strafe 2 while my buddy tanks. If he ever gets in trouble (low mind especially) I switch to TKA and tank for him while he recovers. While tanking with TKA I lay off specials but keep the dragon intimidated and stunned if I can. I use War Cry to delay it so I can switch to my flamer and land a DoT while it is delayed, then switch back to TKA to keep my Toughness up until someone can tank again so I can switch back to the T-21.
It is quite simple. There are ways to solo Krayts but I recommend finding a tank.

This is the problem with the current game....The Krayte Dragon is legenday creature, its a huge monsterous beast, which has gained it fame, and legend from being extremely terrifying, and near impossible to kill, i remember the days when to kill a krayte you needed over 20 people...now people can do it solo..
Im not trying to flame people who do it solo, the game lets you solo them...But i cant wait for the CURB, when the legendary status of the Krayte is re-established.
I know that alot of people want to solo it for the loot, but the prize should be the thrill of taking part in a hunt to take down this legendary beast.
The introduction of Vehicles, and the Buff, and Composite Phenomenon has really striped the sence of adventure, wonder, and awe out of the wilderness.
Before to get to the krayte graveyard, or any distant cities was an adventure in itself, as difficult creatures and NPC's were lurking in the wilderness, it wasnt uncommon for people to die travelling, from tusken attacks on a travelling group, or running into squills..
Im gonna quote someone and say "BRING BACK THE FEAR!"

Riflemen can definitely solo Krayts, although being able to switch to swords when he charges you after causing a bleed withConceal Shot is nice.
One funny thing that I like to do is kite him through some mobs and let them feel his wrath.
I did this with some Dim-U monks and they actually made decent tanks. LOL

Eh, the CURB will be the death of this game...most servers are empty in the mornings, but some ppl actually play during that time of the day...what are they going to do if they can't go out and solo krayts ? Go and kill mokks to get 18 units of meat ? Cmon now..
It's a damn shame SOE has once again yielded to the beggars and whiners and will make krayts overspawn. Like this game needs more jedi...

I disagree entirely- you will be able to solo after the curb - just not everything like you can now. You do realize that RED con means it should kill you if you are not grouped right?
from the manfor the game: (of course I think that they will re-evaluate what cons what but )
EVALUATING ENEMIES
Whenever you target a creature, NPC or another player, you will see a small starburst icon next to the target' s onscreen HAM bars. This icon is color-coded to let you know if the target is too easy or too difficult for you to defeat in combat, as follows:
- Green: Well below your skill level, and very easy to defeat. You' ll receive very small XP rewards for targets that Con green for you.
- Blue: Slightly below your skill level. Blue targets will put up a fight, but you should win nearly all of these battles. But be warned: if you take on two or three Blue targets, you could find yourself in serious trouble.
- White: Equal to your relative toughness. Defeating such a target will be difficult and may be impossible if you rely on auto-attack. However, defeating enemies that Con white for you provide larger XP rewards.
- Yellow: Slightly above your skill level. You should avoid such fights unless you have superior weaponry, incredible tactics, a supply of healing devices (stimpacks) , or a few friends nearby.
- Red: Well above your skill level. Red targets are incredibly dangerous and will almost always defeat (and most likely kill) you, unless you' re part of a much larger and more powerful group
and from the New Curb Revamp doc posted buy THUNDERHEART and this is important IF YOU IGNORE THE REST OF THIS POST READ THIS
•High End Content
- Tough NPCs and creatures will require groups to take them down.
- Buffs and HAM drain/regeneration put back into balance.
- Players can still solo character advancement.

^ yeah i knew all that. A Krayt is HIGH END. or am i wrong? Sure we'll still be able to xp grind lots of stuff solo, like quenkers and the like, but we're talking about KRAYTs! Or maybe i'm not a master elite yet so a Krayt is only HighEnd to me.........
