Thread: Sniper Shot Still Busted
Fix it please.

I can't get it working either and I like this for distance deathblows.

Go prone, sing a song (I like one potato, two potato, 3 potato, 4), hit sniper shot...works every time. The less time you wait after going prone, and/or moving, the more likely it is for Aim, Cover up, Sniper Shot or Conceal Shot will fail. Patience is your friend.

This also means that our status as 'nukers' lost. Other professions are able to out damage us because they fire moreless powerful shots in shorter timeframes, hence the end result is they give out more damage in the same time period.
Anyway, your theory is interesting but it doesnt work. These are broken. I've tried waiting, but to no avail.
I think the level terrain bug is still in effect.
You can only cover and sniper shot on level ground.
Aims also fail when prone and not on level ground it seems.
That may be a factor, but someone else running high settings and haivng constant problems would need to trun everything down and tell me what happened when they stand still for a moment and the try the warmup timer specials and report the results here.
Level ground is definitely a factor. On Rori, around the rebel base (East or West), there's some ground that is nearly flat, but has small bumps and rises. Very very small. You can see the target's FEET while prone easily yet can't /aim. I learned to use /aim (advanced version, of course) to test LOS prior to engaging a target.
The other thing to note.. that's realistic, is when the target is wondering around trying to see who shot at him, if they randomly walk down into a ditch, I can't fire. He spots me and I'm on defense again. I like this feature.

I don't really have much problem getting Snipershot to work . . . BUT, our DPS is still pitiful for a "nuker" class
Can we have an on-screen indicator to tell us when we have LOS to a targetted mob?
Even if it was something simple like the text being grey if there's no LOS, it would make life a lot easier since LOS is now so important.
