Thread: Conceal Shot Nerfed ??

Okay I know all the Rifle things are bugged right now, but thats not what this is about.


When I manage to get take cover to work, and use conceal shot, it does not have the desired effect. The enemyI have targeted starts slowly moving in my direction, and after a few shots, I am revealed and hes ontop of me.


I thought Conceal shot was supposed to conceal your position untill you missed, or untill your target died. Why has this been changed ?

I notice this too, but it doesn't bother me. You honestly think if someone is being shot at that they are just going to let it pass?

Balanced != Nerfed.

My weak CL54 WS as able to solo a piket thanks to conceal. I got in 2 conceal shots before he started my way, fired of a sniper shot, followed by a HS and he was down. But yeah, conceal still sucks

NOt to mention I have to hit the /cover command FIFTY times before it works !! Arrghhhh lol

It'll only work on flat ground.



And store your speeder before trying to go under cover. speeders have those :shifty: eyes...

/cover, /concealshot, and /snipershot _ try placeing a camp and using it as a firing platform in pve (hopefully this bug will be fixed soon)


/concealshot is working as intended. You no longer get unlimited free shots at a target. They start searching for the source of their pain right away and eventually will break cover no matter what you do (well there is one option - but it requires two rifleman on opposite sides of the target swapping conceal shots.)

I only wish I had the option to shoot and fade away, as it is now, after the first shot, no matter what they will find me beofre the combat music ends.

General sniper rules of thumb hold a 3 fire limit on shots before a location is found.

These jokers start running towards me as soon a fire, stop, run towards me some more...they *know* exactly where I am. I wouldn't mind so much if they just randomly ran around until I fired enough shots for them to locate me, but this isn't the case. They go right for the source every time.

Its similer to the ol school rifleman hunting techniqueof the "Triangle of Death" make an equalateral triangle with your target in the center, and your rifleman at the points. By managing your shots, you can control the agro, the targt gets confused and never ends up attacking anyone, just runs a few m turns around, goes back, turning around in circles.

exactly ^_^ is why I did it to see if it works - it currently does but if you time it wrong same effect as if you screwed up the triangle of death.

None of this helps me with my marks. They usually can get away before i can kill them with all my other skills. Plus i can't use cover to ambush so they can avoind my me when they get infront of me. While a jedi can cloak and i can't see, i can stand right next to him and he can walk by.
