Thread: Stackable?!

Neither are very much use after the 'bleed nerf', but even though the Devs said they are no longer stackable, it seems that MS1 and MS2 will still stack.
Any extra MIND damage can't hurt even if it isn't that much. In PvE this will help against armored and high resist npc's. The bleeds also cause wounds and battle fatigue each time they hit.
But have you confirmed this yet? Do they really stack?
I haven't confirmed it myself, but others have posted here verifying they do stillstack. However, I must say there is little use for either MS1 or MS2. You say it will help in PvE against NPCs with high armor and resists. But because part of the changes madecauses bleeds tonow take that into account when doing damage to the target, they are onlyof some use on the toughest mobs(NS Elders, krayts, GDKs) due to the length of time they take to kill, but would basically be a waste on anything else. As for the wounds and BF- that'd be useful in PvP, but I don't think wounds and BF affect PvE targets muchat all.

I agree that they still seem to stack, but while I used to be of the opinion that they are not much use after the bleed nerf, I have changed my mind.
The initial damage from the shots now do damage whereas, before the nerf, it was only used to calculate the size of the bleed. Thus, Mindshot1 does the same initial damage as Headshot1 and Mindshot2 does initial damage about midway between Headshot1 and Headshot2. But both continue to do damage from the bleeds. Therefore, if the fight lasts long enough, you can actually do more damage with a single Mindshot than you can with a single Headshot, even Headshot3.
Plus, bleeds are still good for a single pull targets a little more effectively than the Concealment chance does.
Therefore, while they are useless if you can kill the target quickly, on a tough target, they can be more effective than using a Headshot3 in their place. Therefore when I plan on taking out a tough target's mind, I will start with Mindshot2 and Mindshot1 then switch to Headshot3s. If the fight lasts long enough, it pays off in the long run. And since lower level riflemen will take longer to kill a target than a Master, this strategy can be even more effective at lower levels.

I just want to know if Mindshot is stackable now?
So whats up now?
Mindshot1+mindshot2 ? stackable?
Mindshot2 + mindshot 2 ? stackable?

Mindshot2 and Mindshot2 have never been stackable. Before the nerf, if you hit with a Mindshot2 then hit with a second, the higher of the two would be the bleed tick. I do not know that anyone has checked it since the nerf, but it should work the same way.
Mindshot1 and Mindshot2, however, do seem to stack.

Didn't know that! ![]()
Thanks, now maybe I'll use one or two of them every so often... ![]()
Not only do they do initial damage. It is also targeted to the pool type. So it isn't random as it used to be. A MindShot will do Mind damage with the initial shot.

When they first made the bleed changes, the intial damage poolwas random.

I thought that was always the case....? If not, it's a change for the better for sure
Well it was also random prior to the bleed nerf. But since you didn't do any intitial damage it didn't really matter.

Ah, I thought you meant it was random even before the changes. I don't even remember hearing about that particular bug/feature(whatever they wanna call it). Nice to see a decent response time on some things
get a heap of mind wounds to the secondary stats.
/duel a testing player with at least rifle 4.
have them shoot you with a bleed.
take a look at your secondary stat wounds.
last I checked, the wound damage was REROLLED, rather than added, to the existing wounds. ie: you have 500 focus wounds, you're hit with a player's bleed, you have 37 focus wounds (unless it hits willpower... might need a couple hits).
