Thread: Tusken Rifle & Spraystick Damage
klawlegna:Tusken Rifle & Spraystick damage types arestill broken.
Keldarin: If you are referring to the desire that these weapons be given Kinetic damage, it's not going to happen for a while (if ever.) Currently ranged weapons have a significant advantage over melee weapons for variety of damage types done. The one hold-out is Kinetic damage.I know that there are a couple ranged weapons that currently do kinetic damage but they are not powerful enough to impact melee players. Until I am able to get a better distribution of damage varieties across melee weapons then Kinetic will remain a protected melee damage type. No profession should be given all the tricks, the idea is to spread roles and utilities across the profession so that they are required to work together to accomplish bigger goals. If you have a target that needs high Kinetic damage output to take down then pick up a melee player for your group.
** I'm still waiting word on from him regarding "Acid" for Spraystick. However, it doesn't look promising for any changes for weapons pre-weapon balance. We canlook for some kind of change durning the weapons balance for probably all the weapons in SWG.
well i guess that answers our question about kinetic damage... oh well - I do understand the developers response though .

Keldarin: I just went through the revision history of those weapons and they have never had those damage types.

Oh, the and Devs are clearly lying, and I wish they'd stop. Tusken was kinetic.
I can respect the answer that deals with balancing damage types, but I have no respect for the Dev team right now because of the lies they resort to.
Oh wait I must have been doing Muron or something.
/sigh it's nice to know the deves are consistent in one thing, handing out misinformation.
This is crap.
They say "no kinetic ranged guns" then add two or three more...
**edit**ing devs.
