Thread: Should I get Sniping III, Concealment III, or Counter-Sniping III first?

That's the obvious choice and a very good one too. However, with Flushingshot 2(AoE and our 2nd best attack), you can get XP much faster than with Headshots or Concealshot. I do recommend finishing the Sniping line after CS III, but what accuracy you already have will suffice(it shouldn't take long at all anymore

Sniping III, for accuracy.

Agreed...the accuracy rocks from the sniping line...but the xp pours in with flushing 2. If you have a pet or a droid, send it in, and let the mobs focus on it. Drink some brandy, and spam away. Very doable without armor or buffs. This worked best for me with a speed sliced laser until master.
Once you get flushing 2, absolutely go up sniping next. The best thing about the concealment line is conceal shot from the first box.

my general advice is:
010x
110x
113x
413x
master rifle.
that works well for both solo, unarmored, unbuffed play, and works even better if you can find a tank. with a player tanking for me, I made a mil in rifle xp in about 90 minutes (once I got to countersniping 3).
sink ALL your combat xp into the fourth skill line as fast as you can: the speed bonus there is a huge factor.

Actually both are correct. Depending on the circumstances.
If you are going it solo go up Accuracy first. You'll want to be able to hit your target and will help when the target closes with you.
If you have a pet/droid tank then go up CounterSniping to get FlushingShot2 first. You won't have to worry nearly as much about MOB's getting in melee range where you're accuracy will be horrible since you'll be holding them in place with your tank.
Don't worry about Concealment. After Concealment I (ConcealShot) there isn't much use for the Concealment branch right now. You're better of going up one of the other two first.
And as always, go up Rifle Abilities when you have the Combat XP for speed. You'll need that either way you go up Rifleman.

I'm soloing. Pretty much every Rifleman has told me to fill out the Sniping branch first.

Then get some Accuracy. Then get ConcealShot. Then finish off Accuracy.

Do what you will. I still say the XP gain after FS2 is unbeatable, but doing things the fast way isn't always the most fun or what's most suited to how you play.

If you are solo'ing with Buffs and Armor (OR) a pet to tank getCounter Sniping 3, you get XP quicker because you are hitting every MOB instead of just one MOB.
If you are solo'ing without a pet (OR)buffs and Armor, get sniping 3. You will die if you take on more then 1 MOB(So AOE shots are worthless)and the accuracy bonus should help you when kiting.

Good stuff. Hard to think of people doing it without any of those things at this point, but you're gonna be a real toughie when it's over with if you do
Since there wasnone of that when a lot of us first mastered, I'd have to say Sniping is better if you go that route(that's the way I did it, so how can I tell you not to?
)
Still.....get buffs. And armor. Pets if you like them
But definitely the other two. Sure, I don't like 'em that much, but they're like drugs. But ones that don't kill you. So it's ok. Mostly.
