K well so me and a group of7 all go out to dant just for some good ol group hunting. We go to this massive huurton lair and since Cover and Coneal dont work decided to try sniper shot. But of course knowing it wouldnt work I experimented. Proned in the grass and moving around and stopped sniper shot. Didnt work however when I stay motionless for sometime proned I started to sniper shot IT ACTUALLY WORKED!! Wow so ya my theory is you have to wait a certain amount of time proned and than sniper shoot. Becuase once my first sniper shot went off I did at least 16 in a row lol that is until we ran outta targets lol. 2.2k DAMAGE O YA LOVE THIS ABILITY (on average)!!

Looks like you're on to something there. I was successful waiting several seconds after going prone. I did notice that the particle effect for the shot triggers when I mount my bike after a successful firing. Is it sticking a state or flag on us that it shouldn't be? This was several minutes after firing off the shot.

What you are witnessing is a house built on a shaky foundation. As new faulty additions are made with no corrections to previous core problems, the whole thing will eventually cave in on itself.

Great thinking!!! I just went out to test it on lv 1-4 stuff arount Tyrena and never had it fail I found that if I went prone and waited as little as 2-3 full seconds before using Sniper shot, it never failed. 3000 damage on a durni, poor durni Note to self: always begin duels while prone...

This waiting while prone thing helped with cover too. Although it failed once, not sure why. This is not extensive research I only tested about 20 times, but a 3 second wait NEVER failed to make advanced sniper shot work.

First day, was sniper shotting with in seconds of going prone. 2nd day waiting for jedi mark for 30 mins. To have no effect at all. Time has nothing to do with it. The skill is broken

My Theory is that it is working on PCs but harder to execute on NPCs.. nto sure why... I tested it by dueling my friend, had a 100% success rate. But when against an NPC... 0%... Tried different elevations to see if it was the key... Tried sni[ing from elevated terrain, tried from below, tried from level... same result.

looks like we'd have to macro something to tell us when it's safe to sniper shot/cover

/rifleprone prolly would go like this.

/ui action prone;

/pause 3;

/tell <your ownname> You finally settle down into a comfortable position.

Aim doesn't seem to add any damage to the shot. Not that I've seen anyways.

Aim adds accuracy, accuracy > defense boosts damage.
