Thread: Do easy nightsisters drop good loot ? :)

By easy, i mean the nightsister us rifleman can kill with our t21's.
& plz don't tell me to take up a melee class just for PVE (although it would be nice, it isnt an option)
So far ive just found the usual stuff like nice lances, credits, crystals, leather, shards etc..
But im after nice ranged weapons and attachments - do these guys drop them, or is there something else i can try that isnt 100% resist to our weapons ?

Elder crystals are worth alot if you can take one of those. If you don't know how just make sure you ahve novice brawler for /intimidate to reduce the damage alot and have medic. Then just strafe shot it until it is dead. I am a rifleman and i can tank them pretty easy with intimidate and medic. Elder crystals sell for 1mil+ on my server. Hope i helped,

elders drop soem of the best crystals and u cant takem.... dont bother taking up brawler skills just take cover and conceal shot it to death or wear cover clothing and take cover and spamm head shot 3

Thanks guys, looks like i will have to do some elder hunting.
How about nightsister rangers and the such, the basic ones that arent 100% resistant to our dmg, u guys had any luck finding high level attachments or weapons on them ?
Im mainly in search of nice DOT rifles and high level attachments ie +10.

How do all you riflemen hurt the NSs? Their resist (for most) is 100% for all of our types.

I got a +25 2-H melee speed/+19 Pistol Aiming AA off one a couple days ago
Oh yeah- and I got a satchel.
Edit: Forgot to add that my friend is now a speed-capped Swordswoman and it's really funny to watch her kill NSs now. 
Though technically, it wasn't a Nightsister that dropped it- it was one of the 'other ones'

a 100%pure rifleman cannot hurt protectors,stalkers and spellweavers
but we can hurt rangers,outcast,sentinals,initiates and elders. i think thats all of em.

I killed 14 (yes fourteen) NS elders in a row and nothing except two crappy lances

Solo'd a few elders with my T21 nothing good dropped so far, by far my best loots have come from spellweavers (kinetic or poison to kill em I use tkm and a good vk) (pistol speed +7 ,a few nice lances and a high dam LVA, CAs, AAs and of course since the patch loads of crystals), protectors (same), and occasionally sentinels. Don't think I ever had anything off rangers, initiates or tames etc.
ProblemI have with elders currently is, I can solo them, takes agood 10 mins but is doable, now though just seem toalways get some jedi or swordsman seeing me fightin it, and bargininto to fight it and obvisouly doing damage faster than I can and takin the loot.
If you are only doing T21 damage as your best or only option I'd stick with elders and take a freind to tank for you.

Got an exceptional t21 off a spell weaver, was swordsman at the time tho so dunno if rifleman can kill them or not

Yes, the T21 does energy damage, but it is a Heavy Armor Peircing weapon. That means that to be "100% resistant" to damage from it, the mob would have to have a Heavy armor rating AND have 100% special resitance to energy. Now, if they have medium armor and special resistance to energy (percentage doesn't matter, we ignore it, thier armor is pierced) we won't do much damage because the T21 wont get a damage bonus for having several levels of AP above the mob's AR (like it normaly does on lower AR mobs), but we can still hurt it.
I know of no mob with heavy armor and special resistances. If anyone sees one, tell me. Well, run away screaming... but then tell me.

Not true. Try it for yourself you'll be there all day and only make a 1 pt bleed dent, 100% res = 100% res

Not rifles here, but I have never looted a Ranged weapon off a Nightsister. 15 Elders solo'ed here, and I mostly get nothing from them and get better / more loot from the normal NS. Do protectors or spell weavers if you can, I got 10 crystals today from them and 7 yesterday, all in a 3 hour buff period.
