Thread: Do easy nightsisters drop good loot ? :)

So far ive just found the usual stuff like nice lances, credits, crystals, leather, shards etc..
But im after nice ranged weapons and attachments - do these guys drop them, or is there something else i can try that isnt 100% resist to our weapons ?
I just looted a food experimentation 9 CA from a NS Ranger earlier tonight. Last week I looted a 9 rifle accuracy wile moving AA, so yes they do drop good stuff (just not as often and I think attachments are limited to +9 for NS Rangers). Just stay away from NS Stalkers, Spellweavers, Protectors, and I think there's 1 other (these drop better loot but are 100% to energy).
I actually have looted more attachments from the ones that are NOT 100% energy resistant (rangers, initiates, rancor tamers, ect.) than from ones that are.
p.s. I think Elders and the head Lady in the bottom of the stronghold are the only ones that drop ranged weapons, all the rest drop polearms.

No you're wrong. The first time I ran across an Elder, I spammed it Headshot3 while my swordsman friend actually killed it. I didn't realize until afterwards that it was 100% energy resist, and still ended up doing a few thousands k's of registered damage (after resistance resolution), and got the XP for it. You still do some damage since as was mentioned they don't have higher armor protection, it's just not much.

Elders are 80% energy resistant, the damage you were doing would of been equivalent to around 200 dmg per hs3, using another energy gun with no ap would reduce this substantially as they are heavy ap. It is entirely do-able to solo an elder with a T21 and a few tactics. The post above was concerning the likes of spellweavers who are resistant to energy, though somwhat easy to kill with kinetic damage (vk or scythe).

I'm sorry, you're absolutely right there. I regularly solo elders. I meant to say the first time I ran into a Spellweaver. You do some damage regardless of the 100% resist, just not much.

dof argghhhh 100% resist is 100% resist bullet proof to rifleman read my last post god dammit.
elders are not! 100%
stalkers, protectors and spell weavers are
not outcasts rangers sentinals initiates tamers elders!!!!!!! these are all about 80% energy

Only pure ranged proff that can touch a spellweaver is a pistoleer, with a striker pisto....... find one alone with a good medic, and have at least 45 min of buff. i was with my friend on Dath she, got jumped, and I didn't have a striker on me, all I could do was watch her mind go bye bye. (I have +5000 nightsister faction from killing singing mountain clan for this very reason)

If you read my post you would see that it says 14 NS Elders. The others I can all kill on autofire without buffs, except for the ones with 100% energy resists obviously.

Solo'd a few elders with my T21 nothing good dropped so far, by far my best loots have come from spellweavers (kinetic or poison to kill em I use tkm and a good vk) (pistol speed +7 ,a few nice lances and a high dam LVA, CAs, AAs and of course since the patch loads of crystals), protectors (same), and occasionally sentinels. Don't think I ever had anything off rangers, initiates or tames etc.
ProblemI have with elders currently is, I can solo them, takes agood 10 mins but is doable, now though just seem toalways get some jedi or swordsman seeing me fightin it, and bargininto to fight it and obvisouly doing damage faster than I can and takin the loot.
If you are only doing T21 damage as your best or only option I'd stick with elders and take a freind to tank for you.

I got a +25 2-H melee speed/+19 Pistol Aiming AA off one a couple days ago 
Oh yeah- and I got a satchel.
Edit: Forgot to add that my friend is now a speed-capped Swordswoman and it's really funny to watch her kill NSs now. 
Though technically, it wasn't a Nightsister that dropped it- it was one of the 'other ones'
