stops all those spoil sport from following a KD shot with startle back to back to stop you doing anything

yeah it was in the update notes for Pub 20. I posted something similar to this yesterday here, and I suggested that we get a new master level attack because of this nerf.


thingis, against a jedi with force valor and aura running, i really didn't land this shot too often. but i did use it alot in PVE. oh well, we will just have to adapt and use other strategies now...

I would call it a fix

you can still use startle shot followed by concussion shot (max chain is two now) but it no longer is an infinite chain (something that is unfun for the target)

I always thought startle shot was a mez rather than a daze... oh well guess the devs think its the same, I would like for mezs to have shorter ANGER times than dazes.... asa matter of fact I think all dazes and mezs should have ANGER lengths that are functions of their daze/mez length. For example why should a 5-sec startle shot mez have the same ANGER timer as a 40-sec Stasis or Concussion Shot?


EDIT: Just read a post by someone that the daze only lasts 10 sec for startle shot, is this correct? Maybe I was wrong.. hehe

Bring back the CU or at least Pre-CU... its better that this MMO Third Person Shooter bullcrap

Anyone notice? I had 3 jedi encounters tonight and everytime I spam adv. startle (like a good MBH should) it brings up a defensive mod called "Anger" and prevents the person from being dazed. JUNK!

It still does as much damage as bodyshot so its only nerfed in state not in damage output

the concussion shot was meant so a smuggler could take someone out of commision until they can deal with them again: great against small groups of sith...i hate how startle won't work as well when yyou get ganked by a whole bunch of them

it wasnt nerfed, it had its exploit fixed, its still useable for an extra shot on KD mob, you just cant spam it and keep your target down, you will actually have to start using snares, roots and other shot you have at your disposal

Yea, Im glad they fixed this..too many noobs were using the disarm/startle shot exploit, time for them to learn how to play their proffession.
