Personally I can take the Damage Reduction and defence reduction(but I will curse out every carbineer/Pistoleer on the boards when they do it)
The speed cap is the thing that gets me, we will be hosed by it. All PVP riflemen will Have to hunt NS Elders to get legendary T-21's to 1 hit kill people, if this happens. Believe me the LLC is not a good weapon to go into PVP with.

I mean a lot is changing so only getting 1 piece of the puzzle and scrutinizing it isn't the safest of things to do. I disagree with the 3 second cap personally but the other ones seem fine and acceptable. However if other things are altered to lesson the burden of the 3 second cap it may not be that terrible.

I've not seen this in the patch notes nor any official statement regarding it.
- Defense reduction. The numbers being tossed around were on par with TKA. 55 or so Ranged and 20 Melee. This I could deal with without much complaint.
125 cap i.e. counter,block,dodge, etc..

THats a 20% damage reduction for Strafe2, and 25% for the other shots. In addition to a 66% reduction in DPS on top of that with the 3 second cap.I knew they where gunna cap our speed and i could kinda handle that, but to lower our damage as well is taking the pee. So now other profs get to fire fast and do the same damage grrrrrrrrrrrrrreat :/pls confirm the rumours dude
OK for the last time there is NO, NONE, NADA, speed cap other than the 1 second that is already in existance. the ONLY thing getting capped is stat modifiers you acquire from dabbling.
there is no damage reduction.
go read the notes for publish 7 they are available and up the ONLY major changes are in regards to carbines.
stop listening to people who have friends who heard it from some kid who talked to a CSR.... geeeez

Hello Klawgena,
Etc? What etc? There is no "etc." in the publish 7 notes. The notes say, Dodge, Block, and Counterattack will be capped. Please clarify. Will melee and ranged defense be capped as well? I suspected as much until I read the notes and there was only mention of those three without etc. or ...

Klaw i noticed you didnt mention the AOE (and others) attacks being lowered? was that intentional?

I've not see or heard anything regarding this but, I'm checking. Assume no for now unless I come back with some feedback. Honestly, it's hard to say what will happen with the combat balance but, you can't believe rumors. Ignore everything unless it's written by a red poster.
