Yes no kidding LOL. Wonder if lauranna knows about the M16. Its a fully automatic rifle that shoots much faster then any .45 semiauto pistol.
I lump Automatic assult "rifles" and Shotguns all together in a profession this game calls Carbineer. I have always thought this... when I see rifles, I think of slow sniper rifles... I don't think the T21 was made to "run and gun" with like an EE3 is. Carbineers are supposed to have the "machine guns" in this game.
This might as well just mean that CMs dont get wounds for healing mind anymore and that medic and entertainer buffs become equally powerful.
This is way too soon to whine/flame/etc
i think that one sentence is too vague and unclear to base a judgment on quite yet. It will be cleared up in the future, probably a few weeks from when publish 7 goes live. Till then hold out and keep enjoying rifleman as it is now and stop worrying so much about the horrible nerf bat that the dev love so much.
However if you read TH's statement about the combat rebalance he did mention skill mod readjustment, so i am expecting to see a lowering of the speed mob for rifleman, which isnt too bad if it it doesnt drop by more then 15 to 20 and maybe an accuracy mob drop, who knows. But there was no mention about a hard cap yet. Those with skill enhancements should be fine, and those that dont have any will suffer most i fear.

This could be interpreted in so many ways...When I read this, I see that the PERSON SHOOTING can decide whether the special emphasizes on the health, action or mind pool...I doubt this means we wont be able to attack the mind pool.
Carbineeers are not soldiers, Rifleman are. Read the title of Rifle Abilities IV : 'Soldier'
Pistoleers are showy effects artists, loners, bandits, etc
Carbineers judging from the titles are a special forces type of soldier, who usually use submachine guns
Commandos are heavy weapons users, assault squads, combat engineers
If pistols are so wonderful and great, what military uses pistols as their main infantry weapon?
Pistols are slower, less accurate at ANY range, and have a lot weaker hitting power. The real advantage of pistols is the ability to conceal them.
As for the T21.... Isn't it also called a light repeater in Star Wars termanology? Not a light bolt action rifle.
I say go for speed caps and make sure the DPS is equal. I would love to make a 15,000 point hit every 3 seconds to keep it even with pistoleers. Doubt I would ever need a second shot unless I missed.
well dman... someone else summed it up perfectly (sorryi coudlnt find their exact post)
They will cut our speed down three times, but they will not increase our damage three times. They DON'T want one-shot kills, thats why they nerfed T-21s. Thats why they reduced pvp damage by 75%. The person said the most he's hoping for is a 50% increase in damage, they probably wont raise it any more. So we have our speed lowered by a factor of three, and have our damage increasd by a factor of .5 because they dont want us too strong with individual attacks.
