Rifleman Archive

I used to play this game back when it was released but it was only for the first 30 days or so. I have been convinced to return and will be working on a rifleman again. I'm just wondering if there are certain races that will give me an advantage or races that will gimp me. Ideally I think I'd like to go with a Bothan just because I like the way they look. And before anyone jumps on me for this question being asked 100 times before I skimmed through like 14 pages of posts and didn't find anything relevant

Well with the state of buffs now, no race is really gimped. The only race that has any true advantage is Human and that is due to a bug, with a human you can get any stat to 1100 including sub stats.

As a human myself I have stats of 400/400/400 400/400/400 1100/1100/800. Since mind buffs are based off of your base stats, it doubles your base stats, for example after mind buffs my stats are 2200/2200/1600.

So really only humans have the big advantage, I think the next group to have an advantage is Zabrak and that is due to Equillibrium but I am not real sure on how that works.

I'm a Zabarak and while we do have the best "natural" mind stats. Humans can migrate to have way way better mind. I was a newbie when I started this character so I didn't know what I was doing, just that I wanted to be a Rifleman and Zabaracks have a natural bonus to willpower. Now a few months after being master, I really wish I had the same stats that a human could have. Our actual mind pool even caps at 1000.

DO NOT GET TWI'LEK mind secondaries are 500 pfft while max mind pool is 1100...

im twi'lek master rifler/swordsman i'de give my left lekku to have chosen ANY other race.. geez even mon cal get alertness i think and good mind pool maxes... yes go zabrak human or even mon cal jsut not twi'lek

I have to agree with Crazy on this one. As a zabrak rifleman, I would sell my first born child for a human riflemans mind stats. Oh, to have my focus at 1100...

For PvE i would say human due natural maximums of secondary mind pools, however for PvP Zabrak is much better as the use of food buffs and entainer buffs make it comparible to humans (as with any other race). however zabraks have inate defence against dizzy and intimidate. Also Zabraks have a special called equilibrium sp?. this balances all your stat pools, but as it usally your mind pool which is lowest it will act as healing your mind pool, which is very useful for PvP.
