Thread: How tough is the grind?
One of the suggestions to grind is Quecker missions on Dant. I assume you are going to use buffs and armor. If so it's probably your best bet to try to shoot up the Counter-Sniping branch first until you hit Counter-Snipe III for FlushingShot2 since its AoE. Go up the Rifle Specials as soon as you can as the speed increases there are important. Once you go up to Counter-Snipe III it's really up to you where to go next. I would suggest the Accuracy branch first. Finish that off so you will hit more often.
If you are not planning on using buffs and armor (or just don't want to) all the time go for Concealment I first. That will give you ConcealShot. Just remember to be prone and use Aim when using it so you don't miss as often. Then get some Accuracy then Counter-Sniping.
There is a huge difference between 4/4/4/4 and Master. You'll be amazed at the difference. Good luck.
Im at 3104 atm (had lots of spare Combat xp from TKM) which u might from being a fencer and killing regular quenkers with 2 or 3 head shot2 and savages with 4 or 5.
Hope this helps.

I did Rifleman in a few hours at the Geo caves one night, when they had the AE-bug around.
Granted, I already had 3 boxes of Rifle abilities due to extra combat xp, but still.
Well,..... first of dont do what I did and stop halfway through RM to master Smuggler, only to stop half way through that to Master Pistoleer lol. I am the worlds worst procrastinator. At any rate, heres what you do. You go out, buy yourself Brandy and some Canape. Citrous Snow Cake is okay but really isnt a necissity, its just icing on the cake lol. Then once you get all that, and youre all buffed and got your armor on, go out to Lok.
Lok is seriously the most underrated planet in the game. There are these things out there called Gurks. They are absolutely the very best way to get XP, and it only gets easier and faster when as you get stronger. Itll be tough when you first start out, but youre just not gonna get by that no matter what profession you try to do. Becareful though cuz they hit for the mond, but theres a secret to hunting them when youre a RM. And I dont think too many people know this, because I never hear about anyone using this tactic ever. If you are prone, and are right around 60m of your target (in this case a Gurk) then you can sit there and blast away Headshot at them and they wont even know it. I didnt know about this until about halfway through the damn profession when a friend of mine was doing it. But its true, you can just about kill anything in PvE this way, and you dont even have to use concealshot. Now, be warned that sometimes, after they hit a little past the halfway mark, they will aggro you, but thats okay cuz by the time they get to you theyre almost dead anyways.
You can do what you want, but Im telling you, this is the best way to get XP, anywhere. Gurks are UBER easy and they give just as much XP as an Enraged Rancor. Best of all, theyre Herbivore, so a lot of times their meat is realy worth some dough. My guildmates and I have been killing gurks to grind away since we built our city on Lok the day Player Cities was realeased, and it just cant be beaten no matter what combat profession youre tryign to master.
By the way, I was usingtwo T21's withpowerups in the beginning. I had one strapped with a speed powerup for long range, and then when they would close in I would use accuracy powerups. This helped a lot. And a good 80% Kinetic Helm helps too.
Ive Ground from novice Marksman to 4-0-4-4 in 2 days. I would have mastered but I had to get to bed for work the next day ![]()
Anyway I am Grinding on dantooine, few places better than here.
Whats the average Xp you get from the quenker missions on Dant??
Personally I go to the Blue leaf temple on Yavin and go nutts on Klikniks, get about 4k xp per kill.
