Anyone ever try to successfully shoot a fencer who is master (+105 Dodge), running a Center of Being macro and who is taking PvP dodge foods like %48 Chance to dodge and +## dodge skilltapes / +## dodge modaircake? It's IMPOSSIBLE

Out of 20 headshots you'd be lucky to hit 2 of them. and by the time you get in 1 or 2headshots, their mind has regenerated and you have wasted your own mind pool in HAM costs shooting at nothing.

So you decide to use your "other" moves beside the classic headshot. They pop 450-1300 heal stimpacks and your damage delt is healed automaticallyto the health and action pools every couple seconds.....

What is a Rifleman to do here folks? Not only can rifleman be countered and made useless by fencers and stackers alike, their attacks arereduced ALOT by %40 Stun Helmets, %50 or lower Shield Generators. Not to mention a brandy and dancers buff + muon + powerboost can give someone 4400-4500 mind... And since a rifleman has no great defenses except block, it is very easy to intimidate a rifleman, make them dizzy, stun blind posture down knock down etc them .... so that person with the 4600 mind you are barely hitting can own you good if they stick status effects, do a dizzy lunge or knockdown..and your done.

am I the only one who sees that by using good tactics and using the right foods /special attacksany class can be powerfull?

Rifleman are not as uber and overpowered as anyone thinks. People who scream NERF RIFLEMAN and grief don't know how how to use good tactics.

Boy was I wrong when I thought PvP was going to be nothing but Jawa and Headshot3, or Baton Scatter hit Lunge lunge. You need better tactics than this to win, and if you lose to it you are not fighting at your best ability so you can't really complain.

I am Rifleman / Fencer and with the new knockdown food and dodge food, TKM's/ Rifleman are sort of a piece of cake now...

The problem is I fought someone the other day, even with my baton out and suchI had to spam Lunge1 sooooo many times just to get them to one knee..took me soooo many dizzyhit2's to get them DIZZY... All my rifle attacks automatically missed....It was very frustrating.

What is the best tactic here? Try to intimidate them, then try to lunge dizzy...then back away with the jawa for a flushing 2 shot to stun...then do headshots?

But then I run into people who are almost impossible to posture down or dizzy..or headshot..and alot of them use uber DoT weapons so the combination of that damage and my HAM costs ticking away each time I Attack and miss, it really kills me.

What do you fellow rifleman do when faced with problems like these?

Any ideas for tactics?

Have you tried using rifles specifically made for accuracy?

I've found that it helps quite a bit against people with high defense. The stats aren't as good though, and the ham costs are higher, I just use it to land a stun on them.

Standard normal-issue Jawa has a range of 40 meters (+2 at that range to accuracy).... so I get the weaponsmith to experiment on it and bring it down to like... ?

E11 rifle is best for accuracy use. You won't be needing it for anything but landing stuns, then switch to a different rifle.

Ask a master weaponsmith how much it will cost for a range-modded E-11 or Laser rifle. You should be able to have one made for cheap - 100k or so. If they use all their experimentation points on range, you will have a gun with 120+ ideal range. After that, only eat 2 canapes instead of three and eat a citros snow cake to increase your range mods. Also, on the range-modded gun, use accuracy modifier powerups instead of your regular damage powerups. Use this gun for sticking a flushing shot - you're not trying to do damage, just stick the stun. As soon as you've stuck your stun on someone, including fencers, their defenses drop and you can easily hit them. That's when you switch to your damage gun, either your jawa or T21. My $.02

Composite armor, stun weapons and stun composite armor have ruined the choices ppl have for what is succesful in pvp or pve...

pvp- fencer/rifleman is the most common thing out there.. max melee/range def, block/dodge plenty of def's vs X. AND STUN WEAPONS. Since only the harder of the hard core pvpers actually own a mega bucks suit of stun composite armor, the rest of us who just bought the 80% kinetic and the 20% stun helm are still gonna take our hits. Were it not for the fact that rifle had stun damage I can see it being close to but still better then carbine. Carbine still has horrible HAM reqs. For now I can say deal with it, cause with the combat revamp a lot will change, armor def types, weapon attack types as well as a SERIOUSLY needed over all combat profession redo. Think of what the first revamp did, made melee a viable source for pvp and pve type combat .. before it was just a fool idea to try to be melee, even TKA's were not so hot. Back when everybody was a commando. Then they got nerfed, and around the table we shall go with the nerf bat, this one to strong this one to weak....

So yes rifleman are strong, why CAUSE EVERYBODY IS ONE. Rifleman is a support posisition NOT a frontline posisition, thanx to the jawa ion rifle, it is a frontline position. There should be more pistoleers and carbineers out there then rifleman. Yet I think the rifleman out number the pistoleers and carbineers combined.. but that is slightly changing cause of the Sonic Blast, (thank the devs for the geo cave).

But rifleman has been the same (pretty much) since the begining of the game, it hasn't been until weapons have been made out of the most perfect materials for optimum damage that we have seen so many. My T21 alone is a highly dangerous weapon, 205-712 sliced and PU with ap3. What was the stats on the first T21's out there, not even half of that.... technology is changing the tools of the professions and thus changing the implimentation of those tools in the pvp or pve battlefield.

PATIENCE, just play the game and see what the next patch holds
