Thread: Which Rifle for pVp Honestly

I know this doesn't have a staight forward answer. I just want to know what u uber pvper's typically use. List your #1 choice, #2 and so on. What does your experience show?

against un-stun resistance opponents....Jawa Rifle (usually tell this if they are wearing a belt or not [no belt means they might be wearing a PSG])
all else....Disruptor Rifle

Normally, a disrupter rifle, but in large battles that you sneak up on, Nothing beats a T21 for sheer distructive firepower and AOE states/ stafeshot 2. Jawa? I have caught one guy not wearing stun armor/psg in last 3 months, and he was krayt hunting overt. I was looking for krayts, and was had just found some NPC imps that were wandering around, killed them, and found this guy witha krayt. I just hang back, out of a sense of fair play (there is no honor jumping a guy soloing a krayt) Then the Crazy Imp shoots my bike and then attacks me!! He was using a jawa against me, not a good idea since all my helmets have a stuun layer, and I pulled out a krayted pupped T21 and 3 shot killed him. (I didn't get db, stupid krayt got that). The point of this ramble is that you have to have a jawa, disrupter, and a T21 in your toolbar, because all have very specific streanghs. a Jawa for when you catch them unawares, not ready to PvP, a T21 for those long 50m+ situations, and the duisrupter for mixing it up once the fight goes fubar, or against defense stackers. Think of the T21 as an Anti-Armor weapon, that you must use at standoff range, the disrupter as an ausault rifle, and the jawa as a weapon of opportunity, that is very lethal, but only in very certain situations that rarely come up anymore

90% of the time lately I have been using the dxr6. The range mods make hitting defense stackers much easier than any of our other guns, it's still AP2 and can be krayted for very high damage, and psg's are vulnerable to it so you will only hit base defenses on their armor. Jawas are, as said above, pretty much an outdated tool that we carry but never use unless you see a belt equipped. For large scale pvp, dots are still very useful. I use mind dots and strafe2 often when shooting at large groups. T21, it's there and I sometimes switch to it, but the range mods aren't nearly as good as the dxr6 so you don't hit as often, even though it does more damage with it if you connect.

I have noticed that the best of the imps on my server (Naritus) must have some incredible armor. I got a glimpse of one that had 90% resistance to everything, including acid. The only low resistance was stun, and saber of course. Granted some of the meleers i have had a hard time hitting, even with accuracy SEA's, and high acc. DXR. But when i do, i'm only hitting for 90 - 250 damage using Head 3 with the DXR. I wonder if they are vulnerable to a Jawa, i'm going to test it, and i'll let u know. Trying to find a nice one, my max on my jawa in only like 240. Once I punch thru the synsteak and the psg, i figure i would be doing more damage, so in tough battles, i'm usually stating peeps (i'm master carb, master rifle capped in both with sea's and force ranged speed with the restskill ptsin pistol D) and trying to Post Down, or KD. Mostly to State them though.
Any word of advice for these elite pvper's who have stacked Def, and 90% armor against acid and are likely wareing psg's.
by the way, i'm having a blast, my guildy is Master Rifle, Doc/Cm and with a tank or 2 in our group we can have a blast. Tough, cause DARK runs with about 7, and often 10-12 with jedi, but Still Having a BLast!

Jawa? Worthless since in the last few months I havent met a single reb that didnt use psg and stun armor.

crowd control or if someone has low health/action but not very low mind (at least for me, I've found strafe hits health and action more often than mind.)

pure damage.
i use T21 most of the time because it tears through armor...
Speed cap + T21 w/ 750+ max damage = dead foes.
i use DXR6b in pvp vs. people like melee stackers/pistoleer-dodging types because actually hitting them and doing some damage is better than missing and doing no damage.
i use the jawa vs. wookies and people w/ belts

I have a krayt jawa with like 540+ max damage that I use for PVP but have been doing some testing lately and with stun armor and PSG's, a good T21 or DXRb does more damage and hits more often so I have converted to those.
