Thread: Enhanced Ranged Speed in Combat Prowess broken?

Gah! I hit enter too soon. I was able to train the enhanced ranged speed as part of my holocredit. I am still shooting at around 2.5 seconds on Strafe 2. I really do not think it is doing anything. Has anyone else had any experiance with it? Oh I am not speed capped.

Doens't work for me either. I have +7 clothes and shoot at 1 sec per all shots. Now, even with the whole line of enhanced ranged speed, if i take off my modded clothes I shoot at 3 seconds per. Not nice, tell me I didn't waste a free unlock on this

If you trained the entire line, that should add 12 to your speed with all ranged weapons. Try Ctrl+S and look under your skill mods window to see if you have a new skill called 'enhanced ranged speed'(which should be +12) or have +102 rifle speed. If you have neither of these, I'd say the lines needs to be fixed.

What is your speed bonus from Combat Prowess ? Also are you a Master Rifleman ? What is the speed on your weapon ?

I just trained up in this tree. i had one free branch and i picked it. I have master rifle/master marks and +2 from attachments, making me speed capped.
i wanted this tree so i could drop master marks and give my modded clothes to somebody that needs them. but when i take off my modded clothes, i am not quite shooting strafe2 once per second. maybe i'm just nuts.
anybody have any info?

I am a master rifleman, so +90 speed. I have no other speed modifiers. The Force Sensative Ranged Speed should grant +12. My T21 is just a basic one from a 12 point crafter with super materials (6.something I think, maybe 7.0).

The fs speed skill doesnt work the same as sea's ie +5 isnt the same as +5 aa in ranged speed.
The FS skills improve the overal speed percentage ie +12 fs speed will increase your speed by 12% which if u r already shooting at 2.5 seconds u r hardly gonna notice shooting quarter of a second faster..
Having said that im still unsure whether it is working correctly or if its completely bust.

you guys have to take into account that the enhanced ranged speed is not the same mod as rifle speed, meaning it doesn't add right on to rifle speed and you may need more or less of it than +7 to cap on speed. I believe a formula was posted for figuring it out, that would probably help if you could find it.

i've been reading from swordsmen that the FS melee speed mods DO work like SEAs, though. is there any OFFICIAL word on either of these, rather than just blind conjecture? I mean i could derive a formula based on that percentage theory as well, but having no tests to go along with it makes it a pretty baseless formula. right now the best assumption i've heard is that they are supposed to work like SEAs, the melee mod is working, and the ranged is completely FUBAR.
anybody have proof to the contrary?

i have access to a swordsman. i went from 2handed speed +80 hitting once per 3 seconds on headhit3 with a 5.5 speed hammer, to once every second after i picked up the enhanced melee speed tree. this is consistent with a 2handedspeed of +92.
in other words:ENHANCED MELEE SPEED ISWORKING THE SAME AS SEA's
anybody care to continue arguing that this line is not broken?
seems pretty obvious to me that it is broke.

I had a friend who tested this on test center. He said how it worked there is that there was no separate skill - it just added 12 speed to every single ranged weapon (except for heavy weapons, and he thought that was broke). If that was how it used to work, then why did it get changed before the patch? Waste, any word from the devs?
