That is it exactly. Non-master riflemen like you and me are too slow to effectively fight against eyeshot. I would suggest waiting untill you are at least 3/3/3/3 before engaging in PvP. By then you should be able to crank out our more powerfull HS2 almost as fast as they can Eyeshot. And don't forget about our bleeds. Dispite the change, they are still usefull.

hs3 is more powerfull than hs2 but has higher mind costs...

i dont see how the concealment line up to 3 will help with PVE

and you dont get to shoot faster than a BH until you hit master, when all the bonouses come in. Until you do, any BH with 2 boxes in pistol can own you, and even after that they still rip thru master rifleman if only for their Blind alone (and dropping 160 points of mind with each special isnt going to help you)

I realise that HS3 is stronger, but the HAM cost limits its use, especially at high speeds.

We can look at the BH/Rifleman problem two ways: skill points and master ballance.

1) Bounty hunter, to be able to spam eyeshot, use 169 skill points. To get to master rifleman, we use 92.

2) After they get Eyeshot, they aren't a whole lot more effective. Obviously some, but not a grand amount.(Why would so many MBH spam eyeshot if it wasn't they best skill?) We, at master, are better than they are at master. While I agree that we could use a non-AoE attack at master, SS2 does very high damage, and our speed drops to one second. Also, due to the recent patch, we are not going to miss nearly as often as we did.

So, 0/0/2/0 BH v. 3/3/3/3 Rifle, the BH will win. MBH v. MR, I'll put my creds on the rifle.

Why don't you start a toon on tempest, get Master Pistoleer and BH eyeshot, and come see me. You can duel me till you have carpal tunnel syndrome - but you won't win one duel.

This is what eyeshot looks like against a real Rifleman -

range, duel started at 20m and he charged me/swirled around. (i did the same).

I'm wearing a composite helmet, 274 mind encumberance, 55% resists to all except stun. wearing a composite chest plate, 60% resists to all except stun, 34 mind (there abouts), and marauder leggings. vulnerable to stun/electricy/blast - 15% against everything else, 25% against kinetic.

I wasn't on muon gold. my mind stats are 1050, 1100 focus, 850 willpower.

My jawa rifle is 160-380, 38 mind (with the powerup on it).

And this was Pre-Patch.

And eyeshot isn't their most effective shot - except against n00bs who don't wear helmets.

Smart BH's don't simply spam eyeshot , unless they're fighting n00b's with low mind and no helmet.

Correction: you see at the top of the spatial that we agreed the duel started at 25m. not 20m.

(it quickly went to -20 though).

And, if you read all of the spatial log - Athec had challenged me (another BH) - I proceeded to beat him handily as well, though i didn't bother taking a screenshot.
