Thread: Help making money as rifleman!
Harpoon: You haven't posted in here for like, 3 months. I figured you would be less of a newb by now....
Get in a group on Dath. Hunt rancors, you'll get awesome xp and great money. 36k per mission, split for 9 people = 4k per mission, @ 2 mins a mission = 120k per hour potentially. That's good money. When I was non-master, Me and a TKA/CH friend could pull kams together, making 9k each per mission.
Do faction missions if you are aligned. That's really good, really easy money. Dizzy > NPCs.
And if you see anyone without a weapon heading your way, /burstrun and kite the **edit**. Even you can't mess that up.
And ditch the laser, E-11s are a superior gun. Better min, lower HAMs, Faster, still ap2. T-21's will work, but mind problems again. Stat migration is your friend too, providing your race allows it.
use conceal shot.
i can take out 5-10k enemies (sav. quenkers-pikets) without being seen and if you do get seen take your bike and ride away - rinse and repeat!

Once you get 100k you can blow, definitely look into the foods I've mentioned. They helped me immensely at grinding and offset the mind usage due to rifle speed increasesat master.

If you have points to spare for novice scout or if you have it already you may earn more money by harvesting organics for docs. It's not uncommon to get paid 30-50cpu for good avian or herbivore meat.

Could you explain how radioactive power harvesting works? I understand that you need Ion Fusion reactors and that they work much like a regular mining installation - money & power go in and resource comes out. Are radioactive resources considered "power" in raw form or do they have to be processed into power? Do you know how much resource per houran ionreactor can extract for each BER on a 100% deposit? I've been meaning toupgrade from 8 BER 9 wind harvesters to a couple of reactors.
Hey Zeritul... nah i just left the game for 3 months due to outside reasons. Im shocked that riflemen are being flamed and are having nerfs called upon them despite them being as gimped as they ever were (atleast before master).. cant wait till i get master and see what all the fuss is about
WharryBite... that sounds cool.. what strongest attack are you talking about? Before master that would be flushing2... and what are the stats of the T21 you were using for that?

You just need maintenance for any type of power harvester - though you can harvest radioactives with a regular mining harvester...in which case you would need both power and maintenance. The output of anypower generator - wind, solar or fusion - is considered power in its own right - you don't need to process it - just power up with it directly. The amount of power you get is dependent on the PE of the material in the following way.
PE<=500:1 unit material = 1 unit power
PE>500: (PE/500)*quantity = power. So a material with PE of 1000 would give double the quantity of power.
I've not seen any wind power over 500 PE, I've seen quite a lot (on FarStar) of solar over 500 PE (though not by much) and lots of radioactives over 500 PE. For radioactives, the higher the "type" the higher the PE is likely to be.
The BER rate is the extraction per minute on 100% resource. So a 70% resource would be:
(70/100)*ber = per minute
(70/100*ber)*60 = per hour
((70/100*ber)*60)*24 = per day
Finally, you are way more likely to find a high % radioactive spawn than a high % wind or solar, so upgrading to fusion makes sense. Yes fusion reactors are expensive but you will recapture the cost pretty quickly.
P.S. Just to keep on topic in this forum...if you see any red dots around your harvestors, use your favourite rifle special on them - usually a good time to practice the AOE shots on the desert demons/meatlumps etc ![]()
