Thread: Nerfs that make sense.

I know alot of people including myself are asking for rifleman to be nerfed. I dont however agree with SOE decision to remove mind damage as a fix to this problem. This profession is a sniper profession as such they should be able to shoot a target in the head and kill it in 1-3 hits, however running around and shooting someone head is ridiculous! A simple way to even combat would be to make it where any type of headshot/mindshot/snipershot can only be fired from a prone position that is the draw back to being a sniper sure you can kill someone with one shot to the head but you have to be prone to do it. Also the t21 should be a commando weapon not a rifleman weapon.

Well... about the last comment... the T21... In a Book I have it's in the Rifle Class... and I don't think Commandos really want the T21... if you check there they are more interested in wanting an E-WEB.

OK allow me to debunk.


BH's can also run around shooting peoples eye's which is only about 5% of the total head should they be prone to?


I agree the problem is not hte mind, but the buff/healing/armor systemwhich makes HA pointless to attack.


Rifleman are not necessarily snipers but the common infantry unity of any army in RL or SW


Going prone in PVP is DEATH! If we are not mobile then melee close in on us and we are toast. Maybe if there was actual range in this game I would love to be able to go prone and pick off targets, but 64 meters makes it suicide to even try to go prone let alone use cover.


Why in the hell should hte T21 be commando? Nice argument on that BTW.

Heres an Idea NERF PISTOLEER,


Jawa Ion Headshots are about 300 stun damage

Geo Sonic Blaster 600 Damage Pistol 3.3 speed stun damage and a lot faster then rifleman + eyeshot on bh... pistoleer needs the nerf

oh ya and good responses from everyone else for this nerf posts in a long line of nerf posts.


rifleman = infantry = what the majority of armies should be made of = PVP


how many guys you see running around shooting pistols in a big battle???

If you read tech specifications on the T21, it isan infantry weapon that is often used to cover crews setting up heavy weapons. It speaks of it being used in a sniper role (Headshot)as well as taking out entire squads (Strafeshot2). It also speaks of it having a 1 second rate of fire. Sounds to me like it is exactly where it is supposed to be and working exactly as it is supposed to be except that it does not have the range or damage of the "real" T21.

im a bh and although i would be a rifleman had it not be my love for bh in this game. now i know what you guys are saying with the 600 dmg stun pistols and eyeshot only problem is that it takes a ton more skill points to do. more skill points used=more power(in most cases) i mean one of the best rifleman templates out there is combined with tkm how awesome is that? throw in some fencer defense and novice medic and your set to basically live in the wild. yes this takes a lot of skill points but in this case more skill points=more power plz no flames just point this out i mean a bh without a geo stun gun is really weak. a bh needs to spend 15 extra points just for pistol techs 2 and if they go master that leaves them with 18 pts left. atm for the skill points required to be a master rifleman it is an uber proffresion.

I am sorry but why should a BH beat everyone because he spends more SP? BTW you only spend 60% of your SP on combat skills the other is in scout and investigation.

well it is certainly not a rifleman's fault that a bh wastes all those skill points and hard work to be beaten by someone who has spent less. How about instead of nerfing one class we make the class that has obviously worked much harder better? building up instead of tearing down is the answer and the thousands of nerf posts is what makes this place depressing

What sniper in real life sets up within 64m of their target?


Give us 500m range and sniper it is, until then rifleman cannot be sniper only profession.

lol if you think BH with 600 pistol is weak you know nothing you can hit 500 MIND DAMAGE AND BLIND PVP EVEN IF THEY HAVE ARMOR LOL i used to be Master Pistoleer with BH i think id know dude its MAD UBER

Increasing the range on rifleman would be a good idea but in turn speed should be greatly reduced it would suck to have someone sniping at 100m shooting at 1.0 speed they could kill an entire party before anyone even came into range, however back to my point about doing headshots they should only be work in prone position....oh and about t21 being a commando weapon I just said that because it has heavy AP and I feel that heavy AP guns should be commando only.
