Thread: Either NERF the Jawa ion rifle or make it a REAL ion rifle.

I AM TIRED OF ALL THOSE ION RIFLES.
80% of all my PvP deaths I've been slain by a sniper shot wich means a rifleman killed me, both my Health and Action bars untouched while my mind bar depleted in a very short time.
Im tired of being surprised by stupid PvP wankers at starports or places like AnchorHead spamming headshot 3 with Ion riflesas soon as you gets your nose inside of their range.
The Devs have proven themselves to not follow SW weaponry very well.
The Jawa ion rifle deals out ionization(sorry for mispelling if any) damageto disable droids, NOT TO WHACK PEOPLE OR ANIMALS.
Stun can whack a biological being senseless,
while
Ion can whack a droid or other electrical things (like a starfighters control system) senseless.
Stun doesnt work on electrical things while Ion doesnt work on on biological things (except cyborgs....part bio, part electromagnetic)
I've heard rumors about nerfing rifleman and/or at least the headshot skills because so many have complained about peoplespamming headshot 3 in PvP battles, with this most of us that choosed rifleman for PvE purposes will be more or less just crap.
Our pool attacks will be almost useless.
A solution to this is simple:
either
1. Nerf the Jawa Ion rifle considerabily (Ion riflesmade espically for PvP deals out ALOT OF DAMAGE)
or
2. The DEV's can keep "stun" as the Jawa rifles damage type, BUT...make the Jawa rifle usable ONLY ON DROIDS and you cant even attack at all or hit another beeing wich isnt a droid, not even with area attack.
I guess alot of you will just tell me to get buffed, eat alot of food and get stun armor....if thats the case, my answer is:
I have neither the time or money to run around buffed all the time, buying alot offood, and looking for good stun armor (wich is almost impossible to get withut spending a fortune)
I want to play the game, have fun and get a challenge, not running around in constant fear of beeing whacked at every corner at starports or grinding money all the time.

If you don't have the time to for armor, buffs, or food, you are going to get whacked by a lot more then just riflemen in PvP.

look, ion rifles are obviously not perfect, armor should have less resists as a whole, so that other damage types could actually get through.
But you would get owned by a fencer, by a pistoleer, and if you dont have enough money to buy a set of stun armor, you would probably get owned by any good pvper. a pikeman could kill you.
the reason you are slain by rifles, is because we can do it from range and so we just can ninja DB before everyone else.
If you dont get buffed, you will lose to anyone, get used to it. you only have 3 posts, you are new to the game, and therefore you should probably get beat by someone who has played for a year, dont you think?
or should you be UBER the second you log in for the first time? obviously stun damage is screwed up, but riflemen are not the only ones who have it and i am sure any rifleman could kill an unbuffed player with a t21 or even a lazer rifle.

Nerf your own opinion and keep it to yourself, especially bringing a topic that says nerf a rifle on a rifleman forum. You are simply...FLAME BAIT.

Why are you overt if you know this is going to happen? You have no business even trying to PvP if you cannot make sure you are prepared. This means having buffs, food and Stun armor(Which is not hard to find nor is it out of your price range if you can buy 'normal' armor). I do have to agree there are way too many Riflemen though. A temporary nerf to the Jawa wouldn't bother me, but I wouldn't fight for that change since I'm sure too many other 'real' Riflemen wouldn't appreciate it

Try an imperial shield gen, and not to mention... What skill/class are you? If you have a mastered elite prof. it shouldnt be too hard to make 250k for a nice stun suit of comp, or hell pay 5k for some brandies, 10k for buffs. If you are NOT a mastered elite prof, don't bother with PvP yet. Finish learning the ropes, building your character, and having fun... Without buffs, food, ARMOR, you will stand no chance whatsoever unless you really know what you're doing.
So the point is... its not the stun thats killing you, its the lack of preperation. Good luck.

IF anyone has read the Star wars info, comp armor has electornic motors on it that allow the person inside to move...
ion rifle disable circuitry... Comp armor needs motors that use circuitry to work...

If anything i would say that the Ion rifles should deal electrical damage and not stun. But like everyone else said you were unprepared therefore your arguement is utterly pointless. A prepared PvPer can last quite long enough against a master rifleman and a smart PvPer can win against them if they play their cards right.

If they make the Jawa Ion Rifle electric, then they should at least make the Tusken rifle, and it's variants kinetic so we could kill all nightsister.. that would be okay, pvp has no rewards anyways other than "I am leet, you suck noob" kiddie taunting, andkiddies on the message boards whining when you kill them(see first message in this thread) anyways 
P.S. here's a tip.. don't go overt if you don't want to have to run around in fear.

From what I have seen, Someone with a 40% stun helmet, a decent stun PSG and ranged mitigation 3 playing their profession right takes no "major" damage in PvP from jawa ion rifles.
And of course its not 100% like the star wars reality, but alot of things arent - Either spend your time getting ready for different prof's tactics or dont PvP

Like said above, sniper shot only deathblows from range, it wasnt the shot that killed you. You might want to scroll up and do a little research before you make a fool of yourself.

actualy if he's a reb he's probably overt because a stormtrooper came up to him and MADE him overt, rebs dont have a choice anymore, and you try finding a rebel recruiter on tatooine that isnt camped by overt imps... actualy you try finding a rebel recruiter other than the one in ancorhead!
