Shhh...don't tell the Imperials, but I'm trying to decide whether or not to purchase a sliced T-21 rifle (speed reduced from 7.5 to 6.2). What I'd like to know is what's the penalty for a neutral carrying a sliced rifle when stopped by Imperial agents for a contraband search?
It used to be that if you had a droid with a storage compartment whatever you kept in the droid never had to be insured when you cloned. In that same thought, can contraband hidden in the storage compartment of a droid that is stored in your data pad avoid detection?
Just curious.

As neutral you'll usually get charged between 250-500 cr depending on the stormtrooper that stops you, as for storing items in droids- yes they do avoid counterbands and not sure if it's intended but I have stored tons of sliced things in droids and never got caught carrying them.

I hold no faith in the Stortrooper searches to catch anything, Many a time ive been wearing a complete set os sliced armor, carrying a sliced weapon, and have had a backpack full of sliced weapons (I'm talking around 3 - 5 of each of our weapons) and Ive never been discovered on either of my toons.

If your a Rebel it's fun to get scanned. It's always nice to use your Sliced Rifle on the Imperials trying to shake you down.

LOL, yeah on my fencer toon I was stopped in Mos Espa for a scan, and I looked at the trooper's ham and figured he was already in a fight so I said "screw this scan" and whacked him with bodyhit3 with a sliced Ackley stun baton and moved on without getting fined.

"We apologize for this interruption! We did not recognize you at first 2nd lieutenant Keorythe. We will leave you to your business and continue with our patrol!"
Hurry up and get rank. It pays off. Even stormtroopers dont want to be assigned "latrine duty" by a pissed off officer.

Huh? That means searched Imperials with sliced weapons/armour don't get fined?

With a high enough imperial rank you won't get fined

But then again, a high enough ranked rebel gets turned overt almost instantaneously.
A word of advice.. stay out of guild chat when you're in an imperial controlled town
Getting overt in mos espa is VERY fun and all, but unbuffed... after a while, it kinda gets to you

yeah the penalty is very small. I usually just unequip whichever sliced weapon i am carrying when they start searching me, that seems to work everytime for me at least.

Ok, I'll try to get up to that, I'm just Lance Corporal right now. What's the best way for getting imp faction points?
