Thread: If caught with a sliced rifle...

Why worry about gaining Imperial faction to avoid scans, just go Reb and waste mindless clones.

I will personally smack any Reb rifleman who is lame enough to get fined for carrying a sliced weapon. When they come for my sliced weapon they get it alright, just not the way they had hoped.

Why? They can't hit anything with thier guns, their armor does nothing agaisnt stones and arrows wielded by primitive intellegent teddy bears, they run into door, have trouble seeing anything, make a lot of "thrunder" with noise from their armor, and only instill fear on those that have little or no combat experiance.

heck, i get fined for just being a wookiee.

Arrows never penetrated the armor, but it could have penetrated at uncoverd parts. If you have a helmet on and someone is banging on your head with a stone, I bet you wouldnt be feeling dandy as well. Ewoks heavily outnumberred the Stormtroopers, had camoflauge working for them and set traps pre-battle. One ran into a door. A rebel farmboy with no training and familiarisation complained about limited eyesight.

No fear? I beg your pardon? It showed clearly in the movies everyone was on the run or tried to hide from Stormtroopers, even the rebel 'heroes'

Well, ...

I am a major. But I got harrassed for carrying nice weapons. Then they were rude enough to point the guns at me. So I send them all past ... ahh ... the pearly gates. (and I looted them, too!) That's what they get for being disrespectful stormtroopers.

Stormies can be quite naughty with their precise shots. They use some bleeding specials on you. Those stick even if you dodge/counter/block. (this goes for every other NPCs)

See the problem is if they were that good in the movies the whole series would have stopped at Ep. 4. Han Solo would have been blasted chasing down those 3 troopers in the hall or blasted by Gweedo point blank in the cantina. Luke and Leia would have been blasted off of that ledge. Chewie would have been sent back to the mines or working on a sewage ship....where he belonged

Hell its all just bad scripting. Its why a cowboy could kill 40 indians and have a few dirt smudges on his pristine outfit. Its why Anakin could fly in un-opposed to a capital ship and "accidently" shot a super vulnerable ship component that just happen to be in a open to space with a big "kill me sign" in order to blow it up.

And endor.....well taking a wire across the chest off of a speederbike is a sure way to mess up your day.

Sure, just make ST's harder to kill, but remember the imperial NPC's are A LOT better then the rebel ones allready, so why dont u guys just ask for an At-at ?

In the movies when you were dealing with stormtroppers, you were usually dealing with a squad. occasionally a lucky one will get thru all the fire, but will be taken out by a named character.

You have to understand, that in movies NAMED characters always do better then un-named. And if I (as a named character) get easily taken out by a Storm trooper, i won't be playing the game that much. The problem is if you as a Buffed fully armored player, with uber loot weapons find S'troopers easy. Then a newbie with just a CDEF pistol should also have the ability to run away from one without becoming a corpse to quickly

The moral is, if you are caught with the rifle, use it. better then paying a fine IMHO

How does everyone get scanned so much?? I have been scanned one time. They yanked me off my bike. I killed them all. Well, there were only 3 of them, and they shot first
I am only a Master Sergeant in the Rebel Army, but everything I own is sliced. All my armor, and I carry 5 different rifles. Also crates of spice. I walk past stormies all the time, and I don't get scanned.
I did /slap the one in Theed once. He incapped me and fined me sooo quick I didn't know what hit me.

honestly, at most, for only sliced weapons, it will be a slight fine, if you have enough spice on you (and are rebel), they might just set you overt, wihch just means you kill alot of stormies for an hour.

Hmm, they always tell me I'm clean, despite having 10+ slices weapons on me...

I'm a rebel colonel and I have been scanned probably 50 - 100 times. I can't walk in some cities without being scanned for some reason. I always shoot them while they are scanning me if I don't want to be overt. It isn't convenient to go overt when you just need to go about the mundane tasks of the day to get ready to do some real killing. If you shoot them before they finish their scan, you just get a TEF.
