This is the tread for discussing all aspects of the new Rifles and adjusted rifle stats. In our testing we will need to look carefully to see if the base damage on these weapons will allow us to fulfill our role of "nuker" given
- the new lack of AP advantage
- Minimum range constraints
- adjusted speed modifiers (in conjuction with other testing focus groups
- lack of ability to move away from opponents while using specials
- newly simplified damage types and resists
Also we will need to find out to what extent rifles can be enhanced as we will probably continue to have a much higher mountain to climb in this respect with the larger number of power handlers required for our weapons.

Concerning the range constraints, cana Rifleman be effective now at the DWB or on the Corvette where all the action takes place within 20m?

Based on what you are seeing in there (havent been able to connect myself)...is it true that the master weapon for Rifleman is a spraystick? Please tell me I am wrong

Nope, the master cert is the T21. Spraystick is certed at 0000Rifleman

hmmm 1 issue already related to weapons and cert levels.
c12 grenades vs leveling with a rifle
was able to do 4 levels of combat xp in under 30 mins with grenades were as it took me 2 hours to do the first two levels of riflebeing. The innate grenade cert needs to be pull or moved up to the top of the ranged combat experience line.

Disruptor is Rifleman Counter-Sniping II to use but it now is an energy weapon
Berserker is Rifle Abilities III but it now is a kinetic weapon.

Can we PLEASE get an updated tree for those of us unable to logon? I've been trying for hours 
I'd like the full rfileman trees (and related Marksman box prerequisites)plus skill point costs. Please make sure to inlcude all relevant details.

Keep in mind, these are only the weapons being issued by the frogs. As 2xxx Artisan, using poor tools & materials, I was able to experiment a CDEF to 30-70 damage. I'll work on getting better materials, skills and tools to see what I can do with that...
Something else worth noting... While crafting that CDEF, it allowed me to experiment Damage & Speed seperatly
/HappyDanceofJoy.
This means that Weaponsmiths will now be able to built specialty weapons for Hard hitting snipers, fast firing Assault rifles, or a balance of the two.

I thought we were getting weapons of ALL damage types now though!?
Also, I'd still like to know if the CTRL+S skill sheet trees have changed significantly?
Oh, and I like the kinetic explosive shell sniper rifle...just wish we could have a slightly expanded range now...
Oh, and let me add, that I'm EXTREMELY disappointed at the bowcaster. It seems it will be good for hanging on the wall now...or scratching my .....
