Thread: So, hows rifleman for pvp in the test center?

Downloading TC now. I used to be a rifleman but i couldn't manage in pvp due to lack of a ub3r weapon...
Whats it like? Might come back post-CU

Its totaly unbalaced.
They want a more fast paced game and they make the damage dealers have to go prone to use any good specials.
Not only very difficult in pvp but makes PvE impossible

Well, I like the PvE implications. It will give us a role; we can just go prone and fire away. In PvP, it's not so easy. Sure you can send the tanker up to the melee, but they can run right past to you and ouch... maybe that only works with jedi though. I suppose if you can get em kd and in place.. but jedi are pretty much imune to that... /sigh

yea..thats the stupidest thing ever...
1. we can do our most powerful attack unless prone (whould we just bend over?)
2. tanking pvp does NOT work...everyone will be gunning for the dmg dealer...and if ur prone or dont run ur dead
3. our armor isnt the most resistant either...without another profession..2k is 1/3rd of the other professions armor
4. u can do specials while running
5. we cant shoot past 64 meters just like before
if thats whats pvp going to be like we will be royally screwed.

BHrifleman is stiupidy over powered and awesomely accurate.
trust me underhand shot then concussion followed by a headshot and thats over 4k damage in 3 attacks with a mediocre T21

concussion is smuggler, and hopefully is not working right. it's description says it's supposed to take the target out of combat temporarily, instead it gives rifleman a way of killing people without getting touched. Stops the guy in his tracks, and assuming he's not a rifleman as well, all the rifleman has to do is stand at 64m and fire away. at it's best level it lasts 30 seconds. 30 seconds of drilling holes in the poor guy with your rifle.

I would swap that headshot with a critical shot. Critical is more damaging.

I totally owned all oponent with my laser rifle.
I told people to use PSGs and energy defense armor to see what it would be like. And I crushed them.
I can tell you that the next to be FOTM template, will have Rifleman in there...

Probably not... we need a good defense for the power we have now or we will lose it. The correspondents for 5 combat professions are already calling for nerfs on us.

Which is exactly why I was passing by here, I was so surprised first to see people co,mplaining.
A nerf would make sense. (But by removing cross over skill, make the CU much less appealing if they do that :/ )

Not one single one of us used the word "nerf".
What we asked for was minimum ranges, not damage reduction.
