I don´t really know what it is you want from rifleman. I did well as MR/MMarksman/Ranger. Could hunt alone or in a group, I did good damage and I brought home the goods all right.

PvP, however is not too good, but that should be true even as MPistols or MCarbs without another elite prof to augment it. So if you say what it is you want to achieve, I might be of more help but I can tell you now that there´s nothing to compare with the sound of a T-21. mmm

The point was, I want to be a rifleman, it's the only elite combat prof i ever wanted, and that's what i've always been. BUT, it sucks. and does not at all live up to what the devs described it as.

Properly played the Rifle profession is one of the mose powerful fearsome professions in the game. We don't shine in large groups. Large groups tend to use poor tactics. Mass damage and little coordination are hallmarks of the typical 8 person group. Sure they bring down a mob fast and your get quick XP, but the rifle professional can't perform well inthat group, We go prone and snipe at long range and Drow aggro, Next thing you know the whole group is on top of you, or they are radomly attacking everything around a lair reating nothing but chaos.

We rule at solo or small 1 or 2 person groups. Using cordinated kiting tacticts. Atacking One Mob at a time drawing that Mob away from the lair, and having your mates hold aggro while you lay in with masive damage. But before you get aggroed you mates draw the mob back to them. It is an amazingly effective tactic that I have found can enable you to handle almost anything the game can throw at you. Add some Doctor and Bounty hunter now you are a effective soloist.

As a riflewoman I walk the terrain of Dathmore alone, I go sunning on the beaches of Yavin without fear, I can speak softly knowing my trusty T-21 is my big stick. As rifle professionals we control devastating power that is ours alone...

yeah, i think so. i used a template builder and currently, any other combat profession would suck with ranger. even BH. so i'll just have to suck it up till ranger revamp, when hopefully we get general ranged mods and defense mods.

There are those who are riflemen because of thier love of the proffession (like most here i'd assume) then there are those who want a proffession because its "good" or "uber". If your the former, shut up, you know you'll never change and then go sign this (it'll help you feel better). If you're the latter.......shut up and go grind something else.

Why I'm rifleman:

I hit for 7000 damage on lvl 80 npcs on mustafar. That's two hits and they're dead, and one hit for many things under lvl 80.

edit: That's with a T-21 too, not going to do that with an ALR.
