Thread: How to hit a Jedi?

Ive had master rifle for about a month... and im loving it. I have a great time till jedi show up. I can dish out a good deal of damage to any player, but I just cant hit jedi (due to their 85% block). any tactics on actually hitting one? It frusturates me to take down a group of 5, only to get killed by one single player. Do area attacks... or any certain attack have better chances of hitting one?

If you wanna hit a jedi, pick up a melee skill. Even though Starwars is all about blasters, bounyhunters, and jedi, melee gets all the glory in this game. (unless you want looting rights, hehe)

Well, my adivce for jedi is this:

Use Strafe2, Damages more pools, costs more force to heal them, once the Jedi hits 0 Force he's in trouble. I'm also a CM, so I don't need to hit him, unless he has healer in his template, since he'll be so worried about my poisons, I can get him easily. Killed Six jedi Yesterday ^_^

Its really hard to take on a jedi 1v1 with a rifleman, even though i'm accuracy capped and on citrus snow i still hardly ever hit them.

Best bet though is to spam flushing shot 2, if you can stun them their block skill goes down allot, better idea is to hunt with a tka that

can stun the jedi for you and keep them busy while you hit strafe 2 as fast as you can. Good luck!

It's not your Accuracy that impairs you from hitting them, it's their Saber block that blocks nearly all of you shots. When you do hit however, with a 700 Max T21 with Heavy AP vs. someone who's unmitigated, without armor, it's for around 500-1000 Damage.

also - there is no such thing as an accuracy cap. Saber block works 85% of the time no matter what - accuracy has no bareing on the effectiveness of saber block unlike other secondary defences.

Bah, i forgot... AP doesn't matter for sh!t against an unarmored opponent, since they have no armor rating.

need about 4+ people to effectively overload saber block.

if the jedi has defender you will need accuracy to get past their ranged defense then saber block has to be successfully bypassed.

if you a lone rifle user its best not to try unless the jedi is enganged with something else. use the highest damage weapon you can and start shooting when they are weakening. those are your best bets.

In 90% of the cases, some nice DoT's help too. Not many jedi have cures in their template, and even less have fire cures...

indeed especially if your hunting pre-knight jedi dots can be a huge benefit. land both your mind dots and whatever else you have. most grinding jedi dont go for the heals till the end. and there are few master healers that can heal fire. but then i think fire should be the sole domain of the commando. most jedi DO end up with 4004 healer which lets you cure every state and dot up to fire.

i just hope the super dot weapons get a huge nerf in the revamp. not because i am jedi but because it is hugely out of balance with the rest of the game and the intent of PVP across the board for all players.

my understanding was that accuracy/accuracy while moving capped at +25 over master then food bonuses add to that. Yeah it won't effect saber
block but it will help against ranged defence and dodge moves if they have eaten some pie.

AP does matter. For every level above their armor rating you get %25 increase in damage.
