AP does matter. For every level above their armor rating you get %25 increase in damage.

Not in PvP vs an opponent without armor. Players are considered vulnerable to all damage types. Which means they take 100% damage (combat spam equal floaty damage). It also means that all weapons are effectively AP0 vs them. Same thing with lairs.

Ive had master rifle for about a month... and im loving it. I have a great time till jedi show up. I can dish out a good deal of damage to any player, but I just cant hit jedi (due to their 85% block). any tactics on actually hitting one? It frusturates me to take down a group of 5, only to get killed by one single player. Do area attacks... or any certain attack have better chances of hitting one?

Its really hard to take on a jedi 1v1 with a rifleman, even though i'm accuracy capped and on citrus snow i still hardly ever hit them.

Best bet though is to spam flushing shot 2, if you can stun them their block skill goes down allot, better idea is to hunt with a tka that

can stun the jedi for you and keep them busy while you hit strafe 2 as fast as you can. Good luck!

It's not your Accuracy that impairs you from hitting them, it's their Saber block that blocks nearly all of you shots. When you do hit however, with a 700 Max T21 with Heavy AP vs. someone who's unmitigated, without armor, it's for around 500-1000 Damage.

also - there is no such thing as an accuracy cap. Saber block works 85% of the time no matter what - accuracy has no bareing on the effectiveness of saber block unlike other secondary defences.

my understanding was that accuracy/accuracy while moving capped at +25 over master then food bonuses add to that. Yeah it won't effect saber
block but it will help against ranged defence and dodge moves if they have eaten some pie.

Then I have good news for you Accuracy does not cap. Accuracy can be raised with skills (master rifle/master marksmen) + the inherent accuracy of the rifle you use (variable but the dxr6b is usually in the 125+ accuracy camp) + snow cake + /aim + Squadleader + 25points in SEAs + dead eye + positional modifier (prone) + accuracy powerups

if you use most of these you will blow through defence stackers like a light saber through butter (evern faster then a hot knife)

the problem with jedi is - is that after all defences are done with they still will block 85% of all attacks - it is a fixed rate that is unaffected by any mods currently in the game.

170 rifle accuracy

+ 50% accuracy (dead eye)(i think is this added first before other mods -but if it comes afterit will have a greater affect)

+ 125-175 rifle based accuracy for dxr6b at ideal range +45-60m (depends on weaponsmith)

+ 25 snowcake

+ 50-150 (/aim command stacking)

+25 SL

+ 25 sea

+ 30% of inherent rifle based accuracy (Powerup)

+ 60 prone (calculated by http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=pistoleer&message.id=14476&highlight=position+accuracy+modifier#M14476)

^^ what he said

Usually the only way to beat a jedi 1on1, is to outlast them or fire them (if they're not master healer). Just keep yourself alive and force the jedi to use up all their force. Best way to do it is to keep states applied, kd/dizzy them and they will constantly try to heal themselves, but when they get low on force they'll either /endduel or /forcerun to live.

well here is what i have learned and many people have already stated. the key to taking down jedi is one thing force pool. im tkm/rifleman/medic 4040 i use tkm on jedi rifleman is a waste b/c of the block pick up either fencer or tk so you can apply lots of states quickly and make sure you can heal yourself

I can beat some knights as cm/rifleman. Jedi are EASY to hit, it's the block that you have to beat. I just try to overload their healing ability.... poison, disease, 2 (not great)health fire rifles, strafe2 with a good t21. You don't hit them much, but the ones that do hurt. a few lucky hits to the same pool and the jedi is down.

This is the lamest tactic you could ever use. I have no respect for people who do this to jedi, its kinda funny to do it if you are an overt and u sniper shot another overt when they are dueling, but to Jedi its a whole different story. If you are going to kill Jedi, do it with respect, and give them a fair fight.

Dear Rifleman:

Depends on your template really. I currently use pikeman 0040 Doctor 4030 Master Rifleman.

Pikeman for melee mitigation +2, doctor to heal DOT's, and Master Rifleman because I like to sniper and great for pve too.

I use intimidate/flushing shot, thenI just land as many DOT's as possible, and if see there mind dropping quickly I switch to the strongest weapon I got, which would be m T21 or DXR.

If the jedi is going to battle you make sure to be ushing PSG's with LS protection up to 60% usually.

And worst case scenario you can always try using Tantel LS protection armor also, but becare of the last two statements, I am not totally sure on the legitamcy of it.

With the recent Endor Geo Grind, you need all the edge you can get with jedi knights starting to pop out every where know.

Generally the Jedi has caught up to you and sliced you to ribbons by then. Unless you've got a melee to tank for you the lack of melee mitigation and toughness makes you a chopping block for any saber hits. Thanks to the nerf our range has been incredibly shortened and the hard capped 4 second toss lets them close the distance quickly (and thats without force run). After that they dont have to worry about curing, just throwing the occasional injury heal. Fire is about the only thing they can't cure off although disease would be more ideal if the tick delay wasn't so long.

Most jedi won't wear armor.... and if they do, they will kill you with something other than a lightsaber.

BH's are not encouraged to fight fairly, just like jedi are not encouraged to fight at all..... Working as intended.... /sigh

As rifleman don't forget to land a stun state, it will help reduce the block effectivness. Not to the point where you start landing all your shots, but it's an "edge" and nothing more.

The best way for a rifleman to beat a jedi, is to get 5 of your rifleman friends together and shoot the jedi all at once.
