Thread: The T-21 is Perma Nerfed and not broken! Armor piercing lvl is as intended and will never be AP 3!!!
I KNOW that the T-21 WILL NEVER BE "FIXED"
it workedreally nicelyin beta, andthen suddenly and mysteriously the ar rating is 0 instead of 3.... hmm
I think the main reason the T-21 was purposely broken was that it was to good a weapon for power leveling.
a 425 base wep like the t21 prob could be experiment to around 500.
then tag on a 25% slice u got a 625 wep
then add on a 33% max damage powerup (i love these things) and now u have a 831 damage weapon
then if it had an armor piercing of 3 on a 0 ar creature like giant baz nitch it would do damage x125% x 125% x 125% or meaning 1623 points of damage on a max hit
now considering a head shot 2 can do 330% of that max hit your looking at 5356 points of damage on an idea t-21 head shot 2.

ok that means you could go get in2 to3 head shot 2 in before a creature ran at u and possiblely do over 15000 points of damage. OK... anyone up for 2 shoting a 4k xp creature?

thats what i thought... NO T-21 at AP 3 will ever be allowed. sry to break it to u guys.
although i've also been in denial for awhile (bought a couple T21.. sold those i didn't like)
but it could very well be true..
think about it, fencer's top weapon (the one on novice fencer), the one one novice pikeman.. the one on novice heavy swordsman ... are all crappy weapons compared to the one found on the basic brawler profession..
and not everyone uses a DX2 or EE3 (not sure on carbine)... usually spec weapons are situational (fencer = stun, pike = no idea, power hammer = blasting) but their DPS usually sux compared to earlier weapons..
similar to T21 no? =)
if a T21 is AP3, then its dps is already the best.. and it has a lot of other advantages (crazy frontload.. very nice bleed capability, AND AP3)
think about it.. weapons in starwars are usually diverse.. if T21 is truly AP3, u think anyone who owns it would wanna use anything else every once in awhile? heck, even the TKA goes from VK to unarmed to VK all the times.

I already hit for 5593 with an AR 0 T21 in PVP with the screenshot to prove it.
Also, being able to get a monster down before he comes to us is what the rifleman profession is all about. If you dont get those 3 5k shots ( I have only shot for 5k once) you're dead, so no xp for you.
What is the chance you'll get 3 times a 5k shot in a row? none.
Plus those monsters usually have resist and armors of their own, so you wont be able to kill them to powerlevel.
And also, all melee classes and CH are soloing Dark Jedi, so whats the hurt if a rifleman could solo something worthwhile?

All they need to do is tell us it's for balance reasons. In my opinion they should at least stick it to AP1 so it doesn't get the -50% of anyone wearing armour.

Even though i doubt this to be true, if it was THEN I AM RIGHT! not wrong... just thing how much damage you would have done if the t21 was AP 3 that would be 5593x 125%x 125% =8739 damage agaist an armored player
now even with the 75% damage drop that would be 2184 subtract out 25% and 30% for armor and PDFs and ur still at 983 points of mind damage or a 1 hit kill in pvp in most situations.
The 75% in pvp was placed in to prevent 1 hit kills and that just proves that a t21 is indeed a the one hit wonder the devs dont want to ever have in this game.
The t-21 is going to be the stun baton of the rifle branch... i situational weapon only and not a "primary weapon".
Anyway AR doesnt work in pvp so there goes that theory. You also forget that a mob with armor 3 will take 50-100dmg from a non special hit from the t21..... 50-100 dmg isnt a whole lot lol.

Yes, thank you for that ever so unbiased analysis. I hardly know where to start with your foolishness, but, well, I'll try.
1. This is a best case scenario. Max damage will be FAAAAAAR lower due to:
a: High damage variance -- Min damage = 1/3 Max damage on the T21.
b: Considerable resists in most cases -- attaining huge energy resists is EASY in P v P, and very common on high end mobs.
c: I've seen pistoleers fire 1500 damage Stopping shots on a 2.0 delay. What's wrong with a Rifleman occasionally managing 5000 with a 8.0 delay weapon?
d: You ignore the ENORMOUS Rifleman melee penalty. Even if the T21's would give a higher DPS than Pistols (which they wouldn't) it would STILL be warranted beyond the AP 3 change because Riflemen take about 2.5 times the damage in melee as Pistoleers. Why should that not be answered by a similar disparity in DPS?
e: You ignore hellacious HAM costs. What's wrong with huge damage being inflicted at huge cost? Is that not better than BH's spamming Eyeshots for HUGE damage and moderate cost?

Yes. The ABSOLUTE MAXIMUM damage the T21 could EVER attain with PERFECTION in crafting, slicing and powerups, MIGHT be able to one-shot SOME people WITHOUT high mind pools in the BEST POSSIBLE CIRCUMSTANCES.
So an improved T21 might 1-shot people 1/100 times? Big deal, considering the Rifleman will usually be dead before a second shot anyway.
