Thread: Rifleman getting the undercut again in PVP

PVP DB's...ya we get to use sniper shot to DB from a distance but did u know if u were to unequip yoru rifle and do a regular DB u would get a lot more faction thena a snipershot or if u had yoru rifle equpied and did a regular DB...this is totaly lame
I've never seen that. If that is true it is really annoying. Why should I be penalized for using my skills?
i'm told that any class works the same way (sort of). if you DB while holding a gun, you get less points than if you DB unarmed. I would assume that Snipershot gives you the same points it would give anybody who DB'd while armed.

This is true...
u got lot more FPs if ya holding a weapon that u got NO skill
e.g. i m a master RMdb a player with rifle and received like 1x fpssince received like 2x to 3x fps while i m holding a pike, well its lame@@

Does anyone know the rationale behind that? Is this another melee advantage?
Whether pvping is useful for farming FP isn't the point. I shouldn't be penalized for using my weapon to db nor should I have to unequip it to get the same FP as the guy who isn't using a weapon.
It's because the FP you are awarded is based partly (I'm not sure if rank plays a part) on your skill with the weapon you have equiped Vs their skill with the weapon they have equiped. You can see this when you take a mission, holdinga weapon you have no skill in gives you low end missions, now try it with your rifle out and you should see a big rise in the level of missions.
If I'm soloing I often remove my rifle before I DB. ![]()

I understand that, but I think it is out of place in FP calcuations.

So do I.
The whole GCW is a mess quite frankly. You can kill a <1000 HAM npc with pistol 4 and get 15 FP or go and kill a 6000 HAM npc with master rifle and get 10FP. Bases can have bugged turrets that never die or have crafting stations placed so they can never be destroyed. The list goes on and on, they simply need to fix a lot of things in the GCW, this being one of then.
pretty sure it's based on your rank and the point that i'm unskilled while melee pretty much the same way as when u pick up missions from a terminal u can go melee and get super easy ones or equip my T21 and get some stormie missions
