Thread: Potential nerf to conceal shot... hop on TC-Bria if you're from Bria and test...
Scroll down, a person pointed out this change to accuracy might nerf conceal shot... anyone able to test please do and report, could be bad for anyone relying on a 100% hit-rate.

**edit** no. This is gonna be more than a nerf to Conceal Shot, were gonna have to go back to preMaster days when you have to kneel to hit anything. PLEASE DONT DO THIS DEVS!!!

as someone who has made countless defence templates.. I'll sum up what this is really doing:
Either,
"someone with great defences vs. someone with total newb crap accuracy will have his defences lowered so that the newb can hit them"
OR
"someone with great accuracy vs. someone with total newb defences will have his accuracy lowered so that the newb has a chance of avoiding being hit"
oh and as a bonus nerf, for you special riflemen out there.... from my understanding, conceal breaks when it misses... so now it doesn't matter how much accuracy you have... your conceal will break(and probably fairly quickly).... hmmmmmmm solo any krayts recently???? hope your rifleman is also a tank....
welcome to the "core combat change"....

Karate chopping AT-ST's? Soloing 5 rancors at once with a stupid sword? I'm sorry, what the Devs have given you is not star wars.
While I agree with your foundational premise that melee classes (outside of Jedi) in a world with blasters is a joke, you are mistaken in your statement that there were no melee classes seen in the movies.
While I would have to go back to see what other weapons were pictured, there were polearm-class weapons in the movies. Jabba's guards had them. In fact, it wasa polearm that sent Bobba Fett into the Sarlaac pit. Han wrestled it from a guard, Lando called to him, he turned, and the shaft of the polearm hit Bobba's jetpack, activating it andsending Bobba against the barge and, ultimately, into the pit. And while I could not cite specific examples, I am sure there were at least a few hand-to-hand confrontations, as there are in all fights where the combatants are within arms reach of each other.
But your overallpoint is well taken, if I remember correctly, the Ewoks tried to beat an ATST with sticks and were not very successful, so you are correct that it is ludicrous for someone to attack an ATST with karate, but keep in mind that this is a game. Many people who play this and other similar games do not like ranged fighting. Consider the number of people that choose melee professions as a primary, and you will realize that they are not an insigificant part of the customer base. Therefore, the game has to have something that appeals to them, or they will not play.
Given the theme of the game, it may be odd that the game is so dependent on melee classes. And it may be that balancing melee against ranged creates illogical situations (e.g., don't bring a knife to a gunfight). But this is a game. It has to appeal to a wide range of people, and many of the limitations (i.e., a 64m max range) make being attacked by melee a certainty, so we just have to live with it.

Those must be some noob swordsmen, because a master swordsman with a nice hammer can get his damage pretty close to a master rifleman, much less 3 master swordsman.
