Im working on the template Rifleman/Combat Medic and I wanted to ask is this a good template for PvP? Thanks for all answers!

sounds good to me but i think you should try and stay at a distance and poison them and disease them and then just stand as far back and ss2 them. that is what i would do anyways. dotn forget to get urself a good t21 and dxr-6b rifle to use at the ranged part. GL. and may the force be with ya.

Is it good in PvP? Uh, yeah. If you're well protected, it's devestating. Pure, catacylsmic, mass hysteria--type devestating.
If not, you'll flop like a fish. The defenses on that template aren't pretty.
And then there's the hate tells -- andget ready for them. I quit PvP all together and dropped CM 'cause I got so much shiit for it.

Just like the last person posted.. You will get a lot of crap about it.. A lot of PvP'rsbelieve mostRifleman/CM to have no skill. Primarily because most of them only use two or three moves in the fight. /applypoison, /applypoison, (sometimes /applydisease) then they HS3 till incap.. Some CM's in the past and present have made some horrific mind poisons/diseases.. The template is strong but like stated in the previous post it has its weaknesses. Mostly the fact that you WILL be KD/dizzied if you get close. And you just might not get up.. However, if you are group fighting you will be very helpful.. Whether the other group has poison/disease buffs or not if you stay up long enough you will get some in. As for rifleman in general.. Fokes have cried forever that we are overpowered.. So pick your poison
...
Basically don't sweat the peeps that cry about it.. Just /deathblow and role on to the next victim. Enjoy..

This is a good temp but you can spare some CM skills and take up Nov Doc this can protect you from KD/Dizzy by /stand /healstatedizzy (may have to check me on the /dizzyhealstate) you can create strong Poisons/Disease without master CM but wont be as good as master (of course) but with Nov Doc and healing Dizzy you might just be invincible and then /burstrun and shoot a nice Jawa Krayted Ion Rifle.

im doing a rifleman/fencer template, so if they get too close i can whack em!

Rifleman CM is a great offensive profession, poor defensive. I can kill quickly, but I am poor in one on one duels. I can keep a jedi alive if they get ganked, or I can cause enough disruption in the enemy group to allow my other group members to do what they need to do. And while docs are curing diseases and poisons, they are not healing states and damage.
Stay back, get a good jawa, go for head3, mind poison stacks, the occasional focus disease for Jedi.

Getting master cm is not worth it. Almost worth list in fact. I'm MRM/cm: 4/4/0/4/ doc 3/0/0/0. Stilling messing around wit cm a bit but have been RM for since ever and a good pvper really know's how to eat the mind. So with cm mind poison it's the perfect match.

yes CM/MRM is a Ub32 l337 template, i can kill up to a jedi padawan, or master saber, easily but if they have master healer, we CM/MRM dont do a thing, they can heal it too easy + no kd defense
um im not sure if too many know this but a poison/diease with over 200 potency goes through resist buffs like a hot knife through butter. Doctors cant cure a jawa shot to the head either

This is good for PVP if you are fighting a pistoleer or another rifleman, because they have no dizzy attacks. But if you are up against some1 say a TKM, Fencer, Carbineer and you get kd'd sure your poison will tick and disease, but while your flopping on the ground they are doing serious damage to you. This may not be true in all cases if you got kd food, a reliable doc friend. But you have to be considering that your opposing player also has a doctor, or is one themselves and that they have a cm there too. I would recomend doc over combat medic, because 1) opens up more sp, so you can get novice brawler for warcry, intimidate 2) can heal loads of damage and all dots 3) heal states, which is essential to rifleman with their poor defenses. That's my advice to you!!

A comment that might be a bit off-topic. What people don't realise about the rifle is like the person said above, it IS horribly weak on the defense. You'll find yourself in groups rather then soloing, and of course, the victim of many a hate-tell. (/ignore = pwned) Ironically, I'm considering going Rifle/cm/doc to counter them. I have a thread up in my galaxy forum (Kettemoor) on a similar topic that might be of use to you.
