Yeah all the changes are great. But while everyone is petting their pretty new mounts and saying how great the new rifle bonus points are, they are forgetting that warping, whether it be prone or mob, is still a problem. With the new changes to death and decay we will be the worst off profession. Instead of just taking a friendly visit to the cloning center we will be taking that visit and also being robbed of our weapons....

Think about it. Instead of just dying we now die and also lose a certain percentage on our weapons and armor. So thank you very much SOE. You have made being a rifleman even more fun than it was before. Dont worry everyone. To make you all happier theyadded more skill points to blindyou from the fact that you will soon be seeing the nice shiny walls of the cloning center due to some critter warping onto your face. Lets face it, extra skill is great and we needed it but at the same time it isnt going to stop us from warping right into the middle of a mob of POed critters or them warping onto our prone soon to be corpse.

My solution to the problem. Get rid of the death and decay changes until warping is 100% fixed. Not 99% but 100%. We arent the only profession affected by this but are probably the most affected.

They did fix warping a tiny bit, but still a problem.

Until the 2.5X mod goes away, we'll be the hardest hit.

The main problem I have been having is with conceal shot. When I use it the other creatures would warp on me all accept the one I was attacking. I hope that since this issue is addressed in the notes that may help things a bit.

Erm.

You did see in the patch notes where they claimed to have made changes in the MOB AI that will reduce the amount of MOB warping?

I haven't had a MOB warp onto me all night. And the Prone Warp Bug seems mostly gone. I still warp from time to time, but for the first time since I got Novice Ranger, I can run full speed up to a MOB and drop to prone and actually stand a better than even chance of not warping.

Granted, I haven't extensively tested either of these warping phenomena, but initial results are positive.

From what I am reading in the general discussion forum they do. Seems also that some people are having problems just insuring items because it is saying they are uninsurable yet when they die these items are getting damaged by the new system. One guy posted that his krayt fwg5 took a 5% hit because it wouldnt allow him to insure it. As for me I dont know this is happening for sure but I am not really one to test this out unless forced to.

The patch notes said they do: 1% if they're insured, 5% if NOT.

Just thought I'd drop by and let you guys know, commandos feel your pain on this one. Look on the bright side, at least you can use most of your specials from outside of melee range.

Word is that they're taking ou the damage multipliers altogether in December, and replacing them with a mitigation system, so certain classes mitigate better than others (but none take extra damage.) At worst we'll have to deal with this till the end of December I'd say.

Look at the downside, we don't have 8k bleeds..Well fire, I call it a bleed.

I tried insuring first thing yesterday, only my clothes and armour was insurable. Neither of my rifles were (Spraystick and Laser Rifle).

You can NOT insure weapons.

Can someone verify if weapons decay on death or not?

If weapons don't decay at all, this is not a big issue. Most rifleman don't wear armor anyway, you don't have to wear normal cloth (and running around naked is a good way to protest the new decay system anyway). The only other things that decay are tools (crafting and survey tools) and camps (?).

However, if weapons do decay and we can not even insure them, that is very bad news...

I can't insure my weapons either, I'm afraid to die to check if they decay or not Ill get a CDEF pistol and test it out
