Thread: Riflemen just got a huge kick in the groin from the devs...
I can verify, WEAPONS DO NOT DECAY. I tested this out many manytimes today.
And Mobs still warp. Tested this also.
other than the LAG, i'm pleased with this patch. A big imporvement over the last patch.
I dont see why you have to sling insults when all I was doing was passing on the info... geez![]()
I thought riflemen were more civilized.
I was running into several crashes and everything was still warping. I did like TH said and ran the “full scan” and everything seems to be ok... for now.
As for the warping I am still running into it as far as creatures are concerned. Prone warping hasnt happened to me since running the full scan though. Critters are still floating around jumping all over my screen when I am on a hill or some place like that. Also the info about weapons was from the general forum. Im not one to test if my weapons decay since Im not to rich ingame and cant replace things very easily.
i just see so many posts on negative issues mostly by people who jump right in and go right off three week old patch notes and do not bother to check things out to see what got fixed and what didnt.
normally when i send a pet in to attack a social group and i then start flushing2 them i get one or two that will "warp" to me. now that does not happen they would come after me but no longer warp and i had time to warning shot them or sick the pet on em. so warping is fixed. i played for 4 hours last nite trying to get things to warp.
i would say the server side warp is over. if your experiencing warp now it has to be related to system lag or net leg.
weapons do not decay cept thru use.
i ran around last night on dathomir by myself. i killed everything i saw with concealshot and muon. rancors. nightsisters. everything. to say we got a huge kick in the groin is ignorant.
and they know about mob warping. it will be months before they fix it. lets not forget that it was added to the game by them on purpose to defeat mobs getting stuck on things. this was in the patch notes at the time in case you don't remember.
the fact they slowed running mobs down, fixed concealshot, fixed buffs, and fixed mobs targetting specific pools all the time, was a boon so great for our class i can't even believe the patch went in.

I know this is about rifle men but what about getting some brawler skills so if a creature did warp up to your face you could do something about that and not having to worry as much about that problem. (It works for me.)
Because the creatures warps on top of us. If they run then yes we swap to a pistol or sword from 25 meters or there-a-bouts to do damage and not get hit so hard...but if the creature warps on top of me I am dead or severely injured before I can stand up and swap out. They really should have put the 2.5x on hiatus when warping started. Oh well, I guess I dont need all my nice clothes
Hostiles do not warp on me, but away from me. In fact, so far that they are nowhere to be seen.
I had a pet attack a Gronda Patriach (about 4000 rifle xp when killed), I was spamming it with hs2. Gronda Patriach gets low on mind, gets scared and starts running away. I start following, the pet is still chewing up on the gronda. 30 seconds later I get the little jingle you get after you stop fighting something and I'm like **edit**, I just lost 4000 xp.
Gronda Patriach is nowhere to be seen, pet is nowhere to be seen (warped with the gronda) and I'm left there wondering what the hell I am supposed to do now with muon gold low approaching and no pet.
Had the same thing happen twice on the same spot with Gronda Patriachs, and once with some other animal I can't remember any more what it was.
This did not used to happen before. The warps away from you would not warp to the end of the known universe, but 50m or so away where you would still see the animal on your radar and could still chase the sucker down. Not any more. If it warps away from you, it's f***ing gone.
The positive thing is I'm not getting warps towards (or on top of me) any longer. Granted, I've adjusted my game style to minimize the risk of this happening anyway, so I wasn't seing that happening that much before either.

this has always been a problem. it is not new to the patch. when a monster is being attacked sometimes they run off and take the pet with it. if you follow in the same direction eventually you will catch up sometimes the monster will lead the pet off for kilometers and usually only stops until the pet is incapped or recalled. this tends to happen when the pet is either a spitter and the monster is melee or other way round. although it can happen if both are melee. krayts are notorious for this behaviour. but it is not the warping issue that is being discussed it is a different problem entirely and one that the CH community has been asking to have fixed for a very very long time.
