Thread: The best way to beat stackers.

I fought whatI believed to be a defence stacker last night. Out of about 25 shots (all hs3) about 3 hit and hit for extremely low points. How do you combat this? It seemed like nothing was getting through. Comments?
If you have trouble hitting, try using any of these:
- /aim(can be stacked up to three times)
- A rifle experimented for accuracy just to land some states(an E-11 or DXR-6b is good for this)
- Accuracy enhancing food
The first shot you want to land against the stackers is Flushingshot(Or Flushingshot 2). Thisshould inflict the Stun state and make them much easier to hit. After that, switch to your best rifle(T-21, DXR-6b, Jawa Ion Rifle are usually your best bets) depending on their resists- you shouldn't have much trouble after that.

Intimidate halves enemy damage for ten seconds(twenty seconds for Intimidate2), so it doesn't exactly make anyone easier to hit, but it'll sure help you last longer. Along those lines, Warcry is another useful ability. It'll prevent your enemy from attacking(and moving, if I recall) for ten seconds(twenty for Warcry2) as long as they don't receive any further damage within that timeframe. Nice to have for healing/getting back into proper range.
Well bud, I have to disagree with you. My bro makes a good point. He says we don't really know what everything does and a lot of things that fly around on the forums turns out untrue. Here is what I know. My bro is a fencer running COB with dodge food. If I intimidate him, I hit him. If I dont I dont. Its that simple. Now I do not believe that it is simply because I last longer and therfore hit him more. In any event, to each there own . I think things change with the wind too. I also believe you can stack intimidates. I layed 3 in a row on a nightsister elder last night. So effectively keeping her intimidated for much longer.

Figured something was off on that part. Straight from the Knowledge Base:
Intimidate 1 can be performed within 30 meters of your target. It will reduce the amount of damage a target can do for 20 seconds.
Intimidate 2 must be performed with 25 meters of your target, and will reduce the amount of damage your target can do for 1 minute.

So you were correct as far as Intimidate lowering defenses. However, Stun is still the one to go for when it comes down to Riflemen. Sorry for my ignorance about the Brawler skills. Hopefully we all learned something. I'll go play outside now

Yikes my turn for a double post...
Well if you can lay them both then super. It seems to me that intimidate is much easier to land on a defense stacker. Yes, from a pure rifle standpoint stun is the way to go, but oh my if you hit them with stun and then lay an intimidate and then attack whats left with strafe at the speed cap. Seems a lot of people really compensate for the mind these days. I have gotten a lot more pvp kills on the health and actions bars recently..
BTW... Stay inside because I am wrong more than I am right. This is very helpful.

I'm sorry, I didnt mean that my bro made a point here. We were talking about it on the phone. We have separate accts and such separate homes. We are old farts. I'm at work multitasking so if I come across a bit turse, please excuse me.I have constant interruptions. Same here. (well not the old fart part)
It is interesting that what is intended seems to change all the time as well. Its all opinions mostly. They tell us what is intended when it becomes a big enough issue. It doesn't happen enough thoughWhen I intimidated the nightsister elder it did say "Intimidated" 3 times for 3 intimidates in a row.Has to be a bug if they actually stacked. I wonder if you can share with us whether or not they all took effect? If only one did, it could be that there are issues with the messages beingproperly shown. Such was the case with Block for a time.Personally and I emphasize personally, I know that it lengthened the intimidate to at least 30 seconds although it seemed like at least a minute. Do we really know if that was intended? Um, check out my other response- I was putting Intimidate on the Warcry's timer.
It should have been a minute(for Intimidate 2)
I have come to the conclusion to take everything here with a grain of salt. Try it and see what works for you. I really learn a lot from players in PVP, especially when I lose. So I guess the bottom line is to try a number of things and always ask and commend the ones that defeat you so you can get better. People still PvP?!?(j/k)
